A group of us met up at the Cavanaugh Flight Museum this last Friday evening for a photo shoot of several of their aircraft. Both images K1mkII DFA 20-70 iso 100 f16 30 second exposure. The landing gear was lit with small led light lights and one of the photographers ran around both aircraft painting both with another led light panel.

Since most of the airshows i would shoot are cancelled at least for the first 9 months of the year spent a little time working on my table top photography. Converted to b&w in LightRoom and applied Serge Ramelli's many lights preset to it. I have also started using film again and taking continuing education classes at a local community college so I could use the film lab but that hasn't been available since mid march and don't know about the fall yet.

I was doing some table top in a lightbox the other day and was reminded that my cat must checkout each and every opened box in the house. Now he wants a super model contract, a unlimited supply of catnip, and time on the cat walk.

So far I have been happy with the performance of my upgrade, I haven't been able to do the quantity or quality that I would have like to during the airshows here in North Texas as mother nature has been a real mother this last few weeks. It's going to take a lot of PS and LR to try and salvage grey planes against a grey sky :eek::eek:
here are a couple of ones from last weekend, the first one there are two types of aviation photographer cool. 1) "I'm an aviation photographer cool" and then there is this 2nd type "I'm standing out in the pouring rain for 10 minutes to get the photo of a static airplane that I want aviation photographer cool"

I would jump to medium format , I have a complete set for apsc and just need a sub 24mm for my K1 to complete a ff kit and as a graduation present for my photography degree I think I would jump to the 645 series
