I've used many Dell XPS's (I'm not sure how much they sell overseas) but they've been durable and generally fast. They have good screens as well. I would suggest to go on notebookreview.com there's a lot of information that can help you narrow down your choices.

I'm glad the FA 77 was within your budget, you cannot go wrong with such a choice. Digitalis as he put it in another post has "over a dozen of pelican cases full of lenses and camera gear" he (his family) has quite the collection, he's also an expert shooter and quite persuasive. Just don't look at the pictures he's taken with his 50mm f/0.95 Noctilux-M, you'll soon trade you soul for it :D

Get a DA 70mm f2.4, It's small like a button and produces very good results. You can get one on the used market for $350 so even if you change you mind latter you won't feel too bad about it.
-take care pal

From what Adorama rep is suggesting, they will NOT honor this deal my friend. 'Tis a shame.

I was going to suggest to keep the 50-135mm and buy an older F/Fa 135mm f2.8, but i know you going to catch the telephoto bug very soon after and wish you bought a DA* 200 instead or something longer. So my recommendation for you is to keep what you have and buy a DA* 300mm f4.
The Pentax-F 135mm f2.8 (its very sharp) |

$1196 is a lot of money, mine was on my Papal and made the decision easy, but I can image a lot of people went through all sorts of hoops to cough up the amount. It's unfortunate, very unfortunate duping (albeit unintentionally) 5000 people on a weekend.

I found about this deal on SlickDeals, Nobody was claiming it as a typo (They don't have an Adorama rep) so don't be so quick to judge the "internet mob mentality" of consumers. Last time i checked Pentaxforums wasn't at the center of the Internet.
I'd hate to be a Adorama customer rep this coming Monday.....they better stock up on painkillers

I'll guess I'm getting my cancellation e-mail tomorrow then. This is a major F$%^%-up on Adorama's part. But then again I'd be furious if they send the K-3 without the 18-135mm at my doorstep.

The 400mm f5.6 APO Macro for Pentax are so rare that I'd have better luck running someone with a 400 over then buying it from them. There was a guy on Pentaxforum who was selling his for $900 to get a 300mm f2.8, about a year ago but i missed my chance.

I don't mean to be fastidious but I think you mean: Sigma EX DG 70-200mm f2.8 HSM Macro II......(unless its the newest OS version)

These are both great action pictures by the way. I think that the Pentax 200 has better colors, isolation/bokeh , micro contrast and sharpness at the pixel level (post processing can help bridge the gap considerably) The Sigma 70-200 is not too far behind. Sigma has flexibility, but the 200mm prime is the ultimate performer. The choice is simply boils down to best IQ possible vs. flexibility

(I apologize in advance for the crude generalization or sounding snobish) There seems to be two (and maybe more) types of photographers, the new schools and the old school (I don't mean young or old, age doesn't factor)
I'm in my early thirties, new school pentaxian and on my third pentax body (K20D, K5, K5iis) When i first started shooting Pentax i chucked the 18-55 aside immediately (used overall less than half a dozen times) and started collecting lots of MF lenses Pentax, Takumars, Tessars, Triotars, Vivitars, Tomioka, Jupiters Helios, in M42, exakta, Pk mounts and others. I bought, sold, converted quite a number of MF old lenses, so much so that my K20D aperture lever inside the mount was abused to the point where half the time it wouldn't transmit the right aperture settings on PK/A lenses. This made using AF lenses hard with unpredictable results (half of the time my shots were wide open). My MF years have been very informative on composition, character and rendering and have shaped my taste as a result. Today I find myself shooting with AF lenses more each day often out of pure convenience. Although i have some good glass, the Sigma Art 18-35mm, Sigma 300mm f2.8, Pentax-F 28mm, 50mm f1.4 (and have flirted with the FA/DA limited's on and off) some of my old primes like the Little CZJ tessar T 50mm f2.8, Rollei 50mm f1.8 (converted to PK), EBC Fujinon 100mm f2.8, Tokina 90mm f2.5, Vivitar 28mm f2.8 Close Focus (etc) have still a special place in my heart.
Most of new DSLR shooters although they might flirt with old Pentax glass now and then , starts off with the intent of upgrading the kit lens immediately, they buy da 16-45, or the DA* 16-50mm, or the Tamron's 28-75mm or the Sigmas etc. Then they move to primes and when buying lenses paying close attention to specs, prioritizing on fast apertures and MTF figures. Many see the appeal of the Sigmas (like fgaudet more than half the lenses i own are Sigmas) On paper all the Sigma lenses dazzle, fast apertures, impressive size, good MTF. varied but good AF implementations etc. But strapping the latest and greatest lens the market can offer on you camera doesn't always make for great photography. I've see compositions taken with unconventional gear like lens-babies or enlargers that really dazzle. Although a lot of people are ecstatic about the new K-3 with its great C-MOS 24 Mpx sensor, a number of them still use their older CCD cameras.
My point is that you have to mix a bit of old with the new, there's far too many lenses out there. It's important to keep an open mind and try as many as you can. It will better inform your aesthetics, and make you better at what appeals to you.

Excellent, what's you selling price?
The only time i owned a Sigma 400mm APO Macro and the 100-300mm f4 they were on two different systems, 400 on a Nikon, 100-300mm on pentax. The 400 performed really well on the Nikon (perhaps due to the camera's excellent AF system).
here's a few samples from the 400mm f5.6 APO Macro + Nikon d300
