Nice to be on your forum - from the land of Nikon for a while.
I am a fan of my Super-Takumar 50mm f1.4.
I have been using the Spotmatic SPII that I bought it with about 3 years ago and love HP5 with it.
But, I have a passion for it on my Nikon D300s. It focuses no where near infinity, in fact about 2 meters is as far as it focuses. The Bokeh is stunning. The tone is creamy. Portraits are unbeatable. Details and still life are full of depth and extra dimension very much like the best Summicrons.
I have dozens of great Nikkors, including a particularly nice 50mm f1.2, which is almost too creamy, with a little too much comma. The Takumar is just something else.....lordy!!!!!!
I'm getting a D600 in a few weeks. I know the Takumar will be on it frequently. I keen to see how it feels with the extra resolution and FX form factor.
Thanks for having me
