BethC, actually, there was no tripod involved. I just kneeled down on one knee, and got lucky with the shot.
It does look like it would be fun to fly doesn't it. Unfortunately, no seaplane rating for me yet.

I recently bought a K-30 and am very pleased with it after my first few opportunities to try it out. I am an amateur photographer and mainly take hiking/skiing pictures, and aviation related ones as well. I am an aerobatic instructor by trade.
