Regarding my good ole' K1000 disassembly please :

I am following this excellent manual :
http://www.pentax-manuals.com/markroberts/k1000_man.pdf
and on page 12 paragraph2 (after the NOTE)...reads : "Then lift the counter housing"-now I reach that point in disassembly, BUT that "counter housing" does not lift with the bare hand and I don't want to force it or pry it with something. Anyone have experience with this please ? See attached photo below please,where the"counter housing" is the black wheel on top of the wind lever

My problem is this on the same counter lever : how to remove the "counter housing" ? It doesn't come out by hand and the manual doesn't say anything...
