Ah yes. Lake Arrowhead Sports Grill. Which interestingly enough isn't actually located in Lake Arrowhead but the adjoining community of Blue Jay. They are a short drive from our house, maybe 2-3 miles. We've eaten there frequently both before and after the RI remodel (I have not seen the episode, btw). I wouldn't call what resulted from that earth shattering but it did result in a streamlining of the menu. Its still a somewhat eclectic mix on the menu though. There's not a ton of choices up here on the mountain but what is here is slowly getting more high quality. For a long time I said it was impossible to get good mexican food up here (which should be impossible in SoCal) but in the last year there is a pretty good place that opened up less than a mile from where we live. And a really, really good pizza joint opened up right next door to it.

I find myself in general agreement with this. This site could generate 10 pages on a new lens cap (and I mean that in the most complimentary way possible). So that was just a visual tease to keep everybody here talking. Sort of like how they hand out all the baseball awards between the end of the WS and the start of spring training. Gotta keep people talking about it.

well this, and one one advantage of mirrorless would be you could fit everything into a smaller body - ala Sony. Any visible evidence so far points to a larger body to accommodate the mirror and associated pentaprism. Making a mirrorless that is physically substantially larger than the competition would be a mistake.

I agree with this. Living in the SoCal mountains in winter when a storm is expected knowing how much snow to expect is important and NOAA forecasts in that regard have shown themselves to be much more accurate than Accuweather, Weather.com and any others.
