Hi. I have a question for you guys. I used to have a 55-300 dl that I sold because I didn't like the fact that the autofocus was to hesitant for my taste. Now, I never compare the IQ between this two lenses. Therefore, I would like to hear your thoughts about it. I might sale the sigma and try the new 55-300 but before I do so I would like to hear your opinions. Thanks and keep on shooting.

Hi. I have a question for you guys. I had been shooting with my k30 trying out different lenses and different zooms in particular. I am into street photography, but I am not the kind of photographer who would get to close to his subjects. I had been using a sigma 28-300 f3.5 lens as my walk around lens for several reasons, particularly because it si compact and that is a plus when you are walking around with your camera taking pictures of people.
My issue is that when I am taking pictures of subjects at the max of my zoom range they come out blurry, even with a aperture of f22 which is the maximum for this lens. My question is, why and how do I avoid that? I would like to get pictures that even when I crop them might get good quality images. I mean the images doesn't have to be "tack sharp" but at leas with some definition. Would a tripod help? or do I need to get closer? Would a teleconverter help? Share some wisdom please and thank you in advance.
Peace to you all.

So, as I told you I tried this feature on my camera today. It works perfectly with my pentax mount manual lenses. I didn't work at all with my m42 adapted lenses. The question then is what is the "adequate" adapter to make this feature work with those lenses? I know that the adapter have to do something with the pins in the camera, and that there are three kinds of adapters. The one that I have (that doesn't work), the one that Pentax manufactured and discontinued, and the copies of that one... ah.. I forgot... and there is another one which require to use some fancy tool to unmount... So, I ask... which one should I get? Thanks guys!

Hi Na. Thanks for your reply. I'll be trying this today. The reason for my question is because I tweaked some options in my camera several weeks ago, and I ended up with my white balance completely off, and having to return the camera to factory settings. So, I am cautious with any changes I make in the programing to avoid getting in trouble. ONce again. Thanks!

Hi. I am planning on using the cif feature on my k30. My question is once I change that in the menu and I finish using the feature, do I have to disable it? Would it affect my af lenses operation? Thanks in advance.

Hi. I am a little confused about the aperture priority in my Pentax k30. The reason for my confusion is that I had been trying to use my lenses in the maximum aperture, while in aperture priority, but the camera won't allow me to. For example, I was shooting with my 18-55 wr lens which is f3.5, but the camera won't allow me to go faster than 5.6, which was fine for what I was trying to do, but got me wondering why, if I am in aperture priority, I couldn't choose the max aperture for the lens. Also, I was using 400 iso, on a sunny day, so the shutter speed was fast I mean over 125th.
I had checked the Operating Manual, and it says that I should be able to use it. I had shot nikon, canon, and even Sony, and they all works the same way Pentax should, so that's why I am confused. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks and have a blessed day!
Kiko.

HI. My name is Kiko Jones. I am living in Chicago and am new to the forum and to the brand. I got the Pentax k30 cause I am planning to use it during winter time. I am NOT a professional photographer by any means. I consider myself an illustrator who is using his daily photos to illustrate a devotional. Had been reading the forum and had found it really interesting and very useful. So, Hi to you all.
