Bloody hell. I keep off the forum for a few days and one person is whisked away on a whirlwind adventure and another comes back from the dead. Congrats to the both of you.
I can kind of feel what you've been going through Drew. Had to deal with 20 months of various tests to figure out what the hell is wrong with me. No cancer scare, but confirmed auto-immune disorder.

I like it! Hey, I saw this dog at the park this morning. He reminded me of Mo, though he's not a Bichon. Something smaller, I forget the breed. He's ten years old.
Taken with the Industar-50. This thing is way too sharp for a $15 lens.

Back to using the 31 tonight. Finally got around to attempting an idea I've had for a little over a week. Trying to add some drama and storytelling to a typical food shot. Last Victim- by C Rankin, on Flickr Last Victim BW- by C Rankin, on Flickr

Partial solar eclipse November rd3 from Richmond, Virginia. Values are a bit depressed, but I was aiming to bring out the "lacing" in the branches nearest the disc. I was surprised how this didn't flair out completely with this flea market find considering the ferocious dynamic range. Taken at 180mm, 1/750, F22. K-5 at ISO 80. Cropped considerably.

Cross posted from post your photos…. Pentax K-3, Sigma 70 macro ƒ2.8, most shot in TAV ( I set the shutter and F-stop, the camera sets the ISO).

Is it wolf smell or rabbit smell, only the dogs know for sure…
A smelly old boot found in the woods, it doesn't get much better than that.
We know who's it was, we just don't know why it was left in the woods.
A gap in a downed tree at the bottom of the cliff.
Hey, that's my stick..
If you slow down, you get left behind
Thanks for looking.

Here is my best Ansel Adams impression. I was at work earlier this week and it was pretty foggy. It just so happens that I had my camera at work for the first time in weeks. As I was driving around in the fog I noticed this tree and had to take a quick shot. As always C&C is welcome! |

Bruce (Bramela) writes ... G'day everyone! Still hanging in but not enjoying the chemo. Had a chance to play with my new K3 when another Pentax mate I work with at the Botanic Gardens dropped in for a visit. A big thrill too later in the week when I was allowed to go home for 4 hours to help celebrate an 18th birthday with family who travelled up from Victoria. So still smiling!

This is Chumlee, our latest foster dog from SISCA.org. His is about 13 weeks old and we will only have him for about 2 weeks (waiting for his second set of puppy shots). Contrary to the first picture, he is a ball of energy.
