I was looking through some old photos I've taken and stumbled across these. Taken with my *ist DS in 2009.

I found this MD 50 mm f/2 in one of my drawers this morning. I remember I took a picture of my dog with it in 2002, one year before she died (SIGH) ... Quite unimpressive performance but now it can be bought for 20 $.

......what this plant is, but it grabbed my interest. (And DON'T ask why I felt it necessary to shoot a stationary plant in good light at 1/2500s and ISO 6400:p:p:p:p:p) K3P24093_DxO |

Pulled this out of the Wayback Machine. From 2016. Posting this to brag on our Great Pyr Cider. R.I.P. A fantastic livestock guardian dog. A nasty January storm beginning to roll in. This is Cider making sure all of his goats got to the barn before he'd go inside. Eight down about twenty to go. Barn built in the 1870's. Shot in jpeg. Tried to clean it up. Had limited success. :)

This is a fairly standard photo for macros. You take a photo of dew in the early morning and then crop to compose. Still figuring out some of the macro stuff

A 512GB miscro SD card for my phone, because the current 256GB card is almost full. It contains all the photos I've transferred from various cameras for the last six years or so.
I'm dreading copying everything over to it as I'm sure it will take quite a while.

Despite spending many years doing star trails in Sydney, for some reason I've never got around to doing this angle. It required a ladder to get me over a tall iron fence.
P.S. Yes, it's a self-portrait - not done from vanity, but to give the scene a sense of scale; if only I were an average height, that effect would have been greater!

I was resting near the wetlands bordering the Saint Lawrence when it started to rain. I grabbed my K1, mounted it on my 645 FA* 300 mm f/4 lens on tripod and quickly shot a couple of frames. It rained so hard after I took the pictures I had to seek shelter in my Mazda 5. |
