I have the Pentax flashes. Hands down for the power output, recycle time, battery life, functions and accessories I’d recommend the Godox V1. I shoot weddings for a living and have literally not used another flash since I purchased it. I’ve shoot 8 hour weddings with heavy flash use and I’m still yet to change the battery at an event.

9K for a camera with no auto focus. For that I will just switch my camera to MF. With my eyesight that is a big no go. When I shoot real estate and have time to use LV with focus peaking then manual focus is ok. I also use it when I shoot macro. When shooting with the OVF (which I hands down prefer), I use AF. I basically only use AF unless I have to use MF. With my age, the eyesight is poor enough my keeper rate without AF would be very depressing.

I recall one time I used one with a 55" Octabox that had a grid on the front. This was in a studio setting and I really had to push the power setting up and raise my ISO to get good results. But like I said before in my 47" with no grid they provide plenty of power.

I use a 47" octabox on a regular basis for portrait and product photography. I even use the combination for outside portraits. By the way, I use the inner diffuser.

Not quite sure of the year. It is at a wedding venue I shot at.

I second this. I have this lens for my GH3 and it is by far my most used lens.

Suppose I am the same. I'm to bought into the system to switch. At this point, I am just concerned about what Pentax gear is being put out and it's capabilities. The other brands don't concern me. Pentax gear just works right. From build and image quality to ergonomics and menu system I like what I get, For my photography needs, I feel that no other brand would help make my experience any better.

Merry Christmas to you all. It was a light year for me as far as gear purchases. I will say that by far my favorite and most useful purchase is my Godox V1 flash system.

Just looking at your lineup and if I was in your shoes, I’d get the 70. It has a great reputation and makes a great portrait lens. That being said, the 55 is a really kick butt lens!

I buster the big man at my house dropping off gifts. So much for him not being real. I currently shoot with K-5 and K-3. If I won the K-70, I'd use it to take pixel shift landscape and possibly real estate photos. I currently can not shoot pixel shift.

I took this photo at an event venue in Bedford, VA at a craft fair in late November. I just thought the scene was kind of Norman Rockwell looking. Let me know what you think.

You need to use a slower shutter speed to allow more ambient light in. If this is not an option, then I just raise the ISO and lower the flash output by the number of stops I increase the ISO by.

Well they can follow me home and attempt the same thing. I just hope they are willing to give their life to attempt to steal my gear. I'm a vet of 12 years. When I shoot I don't miss!

At only 8000 shutter count, that body is still a baby. The K5 is a great body. I have one and still use it. For half the price I'd rather have it than a K70 due to the fact it was a flagship model and should more durable than a K70.

This photo was my second choice because my first choice was the photo that never happened. I saw a much larger spider, got my camera and the lens was fogged up. By the time the lens cleared up, the spider had left. So I had to walk around my yard and found this spider. Im not very experienced at macro photography. It is something I enjoy and can see me practicing some more in the future.

I shoot stills with Pentax. Because of the limit on the video that a Pentax records, my dad and I bought Panasonic GH3's for HD video. Even though they break the video into clips the result is a continuous movie. I actually like this approach when it comes to editing videos of weddings. The short clips make it much easier when splitting or clipping the video. I really see no difference in video quality between the Pano and the K-5 or K-3.
