PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
**SOLD**K10D Body..."Factory Demo"**SOLD** Asking Price $400 SHIPPED(US) Item Description
Okay, here is the deal...I bid on a couple cameras the other day on e-bay thinking there was no way I was going to win either. Well, I won both.
This one was purchased from Cameta Camera as a factory demo. It has been inspected by Pentax and has a sticker that says "Factory Refurbished" on the box. I opened the camera and took one shot to see what the shutter count was and put it back in the box. Everything is perfect. Like it has never been taken from the box. It has a one year factory warranty, also. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Admittedly, I am an idiot when it comes to RAW, but if you shoot in RAW, don't you eventually have to make it a JPEG if you are going to send it to a print lab or let anyone but us see it?

It's not so much the subject, but I hate HDR! I can't stand it. I have a friend who loves it ans she is always showing me her new HDR stuff. UGH!

I don't have any experience with the 35mm, but have considered it or a 28mm. Sometimes, the "fiddy" is a little long for me. Again, I have a limited space problem indoors.

Jamesk has a good point. I often wish I had a little more reach, but my makeshift studio is in tight quarters, so 28mm is just not wide enough most of the time with family portraits.
I also shoot a lot of car shows and I really need the extra zoom at the short end.

I too, love my 17-50...on my K10. I just got my K20 and am not impressed with the Tammy on the K20, yet. I think I will need to adjust the focus on that lens, but haven't yet.
I also have the 50mm f/1.4 and rarely use it, but will never get rid of it.
The 17-50 has just enough distortion at 17mm to give an interesting look without the over the top look of a fish eye(not that I don't enjoy a good distortion photo).

I got my K20 a couple days ago. I just saw buydig has them for $749.** with 3 year warranty, gadget bag, 4GB SanDisk memory card, adn free shipping. I guess I should have waited a little while longer, especially since it's been raining here for 2 days.

Thanks walter!
I did a little informal test tonight and found that the lens is much sharper and in focus at f/4.5 than at f/2.8. So maybe it isn't the focus, but the sharpness wide open that is the problem. But what is the point of having a 2.8 lens if you can't use it at 2.8?

Yeah, I guess I was not real clear on that. It will auto focus, just not right. I just read in the manual how to set the focus for different lenses. I am a little worried, though since the middle (28-30mm) range looked usable. I will play with it today. It is too hard to set anything up at work.
Shhh...don't tell my boss I've been playing with my new K20 all night.

I am sure it was seated properly. I just did some informal tests with my tripod to make sure I wasn't imagining things.
The Tamron on my K10 is respectable. On the K20, it is respectable in the middle of the zoom range, but at 17 or 50mm it is horrible. Unusable, even. I will try to post some photos from my test, soon.

I just recieved my new K20D today and placed my favorite lens, Tamron 17-50mm Di II, and it will not auto focus. I put it back on my K10 and it is perfect. I put my 50mm f/1.4 on both and it works perfect on both. What the heck can I do? I love my Tammy, but am I going to have to use it exclusively with the K10?

I have the Super also, and love it. You are right that it is a very strong flash. I have a Sto-Fen diffuser on it. I think it is the "C" model. It works very well.

I always used lithium AA's on my K100d. They are more expensive, but have amazing stamina compared to rechargables and especially alkalines.

The improved high ISO performance was a big seller for me.
Just checked buydig.com and it is now $774.95 with free 4GB memory card. Down another $5 from last week.

I don't know. Maybe because I think the price is going to keep dropping. Maybe because I have a perfectly good K10D with less than 10,000 shots. Maybe because I shouldn't be spending $741.
