I'm looking to buy a somewhat better than entry level DSLR and three candidates on my list are the K5, K30 and Nikon d5200. I've read some comments saying that the Nikon isn't in the same class as the K5 but it does seem to have some advantages - more MP, an articulating lcd screen, more autofocus points, better video recording, etc. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your response. The lenses are screw mounted so I would need the adapter.

I have a couple of old Takumar lenses (1:3.5/35 and 1:3.5/135) that I used a while back with my equally old Pentax K1000 35mm film camera. Does anyone know if these are compatible with a modern Pentax dSLR, say the K-30? Thanks.
