I like the hard contrast.

Love it. I like the separation of the plane from the background which has almost no structure.

Moin aus Berlin,
Ich komme auch ursprünglich eher aus der Hamburger Gegend.
Zeig mal ein paar Fotos aus deiner K-5.
Replace Bremen with Berlin ;)

Thanks a lot. Doesn't always work that well yet, but I notice that I am improving. Took a lot of photos in the last weeks as I just have some more spare time to use for this hobby.
Almost finished my bachelors degree now and speaker building projects are mostly finished.
This was my christmas present for my little brother:
The high gloss finish took me quite some time, especially as I am normally not that much into woodworking.

Hi
I am in my early twenties and started taking "serious" photos about one year ago, though I already had experience with DSLRs for a few more years.
I more or less started with a K-5, even though I had a K-7 for a few weeks before that until I sold it for the K-5.
I am an advanced rookie and I think that I have a decent sense for image composition. I would really want to dive a little deeper into photography, but at the moment I don't have the time to do serious photosessions on a regular basis. I just carry my camera around whenever I can.
I really like my Pentax and the Pentax philosophy and enjoy collecting the old primes.
As a first image for the forums: Attachment 184580
Just took this pic with a Pentax SMC A 50mm 1:1.7mm Lens and a Pentax 2x Telekonverter.
Aperture was at f16 I think, exposed for 2 seconds at ISO 400 with the camera on a tripod. I could have done 8 seconds at ISO 100, but I wanted to reduce possible influence of vibrations as ISO 400 is already pretty good with my K-5 and the Tripod was not the best. Attachment 184581
Shot from last week on the street just in front of my flat. Actually with the 18-55 Kit lens at f5.6 at 1/40s and ISO 500.
So, hello from my side. Looking forward to a good time in this forum.
