Impressive numbers, I tried 2 sets of eneloop on my K30 and never had those numbers. With auto or Ni-MH I never had a better results the original lithium battery the camera gives up long before the eneloop are exhausted. The battery sets work great on flash and put out more than 2500mA on a 0.5A load.
I'm now trying this with better results that the eneloop so far.

I wanted the lightest manual focus camera possible, that worked with the DA lens and had Aperture on the viewfinder... I ended up with a 0 click MZ-m, I love it, even with all that plastic glory, hoping that it lasts more than the reviewers say it will.

Purchase dilemma - KP or new APS-C flagship?

I would go for a DA40mm or 21... no the 40, you can't really go wrong with any of them. Just count with the slow focus throw of the 35 macro.

Please no, so you would pay for hardware you didn't use? Sorry, linux guy here, they could open-source the firmware or at least a public development api. I would like, for example, to be able to delete photos when review them on a phone/tablet.

First I have to congratulate you on the best quote so far.

"I have to say that Pentaxians relationship with Pentax reminds me of a Grandfather driving his grandchildren on vacation. They are in the back seat yelling periodically, "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?" While he silently drives at 35 miles per hour towards a place that they are really going to like. The combination of the Grandfather's silence and his slow driving slowly drives his grandchildren crazy."

I had a K1000 for some weeks and loved it, but to be more precise what I would like to have is a *ist (film like) to use the DA40 and 70 on it. That will be a very small market I agree, but I think people who love the photography process as much as the end result (high Mpx extreme sharp photo) is a bit bigger. That A7 as atrocious ergonomics, some thing that kills process enjoyment and something Pentax usually nails. You could drop the evf and review your pics on the phone. A simple camera.

I have the 350p and 600 and run a quick test, so:
1) Yes
2) Yes
3) No, if you turn TTL on on the 350, the 600 turns to off.

---------- Post added 31-08-19 at 11:20 ----------

ps: With the XproP, the expected happens, the 600 turns to off in TTL and the 350 works.

Sorry, no time or knowledge for that. But would give a try on adding some thing basic like a delete option to the wireless api web services (with and option for raw+jpg deletion)

Best,

---------- Post added 15-03-19 at 18:26 ----------

Or an option to rate pictures in camera or/and via wireless api.

From what I've read that's true, but you lose allot from 18 to 28, much more them from 135 to 105.

Best,

---------- Post added 08-01-19 at 10:04 ----------

So I would only go 28-105 if you plan to add a wider lens and commit to a full frame future.

I think Rapid Photo Downloader will do what you need, it does one thing very well.
I use the program above for importing to a 2Sort/Camera Exif Name/ddmmyyyy directory, then geeqie to sort/delete photos.
I'm still using digikam for tagging and rating but to hope to replace it with geeqie in the future.

Mobile D-LI90 and D-LI109 charger

After getting the grip for my KP, I got a bigger D-LI90 battery to solve any extra energy needs.
I also needed a new charger, preferably a USB one.
I ended up finding this one, a bit of a coulomb egg idea, with movable connector pins, it works with the D-LI90 and D-LI109 pentax batteries and many more, tested Canon Olympus and Samsung. It uses 12v or 5v USB power, witch makes it very versatile, I use it with a solar panel a 12v battery.
It has the quality stamp of "works for me" :) , available on your normal Chinese stores, I got it on aliexpress.

I agree with you, this forum was one of the nice surprises of the initial Pentax (semi) impulse buy.
I don't understand the mind state needed to go to a forum and write "Pentax sucks, I will change to Sony/Fuji/Whaterver if not...". You change to what ever solves your problem (if no money, then you have bigger problems) then go to "Sony/Fuji/Whatever" and write "Pentax sucks, just changed to Sony/Fuji/Whatever", and everything is ok. We all know the weakness and strengths of the several options. I'm happy with Pentax, the unloved KP is actually pretty good, and like going from a small but heavy point and shoot with the small limiteds to a slow dual battery bird cacher with a sigma bigma. (it's not irony, I really like the concept and know the limitations)
I did my best to help Pentax, gave them my money and try to get good pictures, share with friends and family and when asked how I got it, a sell the brand (some times without asking :o ) Not because it's my "club", but because I enjoyed the machine used in the process and want to use it for many years.
Best,
