Hello, this is my first thread here. I already introduced myself, but here again some short infos:
I did a bicycle tour around the USA and Canada this summer. Now I am in Toronto working on the pictures. I want to prepare a slideshow, showing the best 200 of about 8000 shots.
I have 5 shots of this beautiful canyon in Zion National Park (actually I had 80 pictures). And I can not decide which of them is the most appealing one since they all have the same subject but each of them is a completely different arrangement.
I would also like to know, if you think the colors or contrast are too strong.
Best regards,
Michael

Hello Jorgario,
to me they all lack in sharpness, contrast and the first one also has a bad color rendition. The pictures are tilted and especially on the first black and white one the modern car and the street light disturb from this old building.
The third and the fourth picture are both not useful at all (at least to me).
Maybe you have a bad copy of the K24/2.8? Did you take them as JPG out of cam or as RAW?
Greetings,
hering

So far I did calculations for pictures with Stellarium, Google Earth and manual algebra. Especially when the motiv is not on the horizon but for example a chapel on a small hill with the full moon rising behind it.
I will try TPE too, when I am back home, thanks for the tip.

Good morning all of you,
I just registered here as I will live in Toronto for a while. Some years ago I was a very active member in the German Pentax forum under the same name: forum.digitalfotonetz.de. Inbetween I was very busy with my other hobby, cycling, but now I want to spend more time behind the viewfinder again. I am looking forward to get honest criticism on my pictures here.
Do you have a special part in the forum to post travel pictures or do all pictures go to the same part here? Since I just travelled (cycled) all around the United States, you will see mainly landscape shots from me in the next time ;-)
best regards,
Michael
