Thanks for the advice everyone and nice pics SpecialK and McCall.
Good point on needing fast glass. I'm gonna stick with the DA15, DA18-135 and 8mm FE and toss in the FA31. A little more than I wanted to carry, but I'll just leave behind certain lenses depending on what I plan for the day:-).

First trip to the Big Apple and wanted to get some opinions on lens choice. Going to be there this week and there is rain and snow in the forecast so of my lenses listed below I'm leaning towards the DA18-135 WR, DA15 and maybe the Rokinon 8mm Fisheye for fun. Also, would you carry a tripod - I'm thinking yes if I want to try some night shots - just not sure how safe it is to be carrying around this equipment in NY (using the subway and buses as means of transportation) and using it on a tripod at night.
Lenses I own (in case you can't see my signature): DA15, FA31, DFA 100 WR, DA 18-55 WR, DA 18-135 WR and Rokinon 8mm Fisheye..
I'm new to DSLR photography and definitely never really taken pictures in any large cites. Plan on taking pictures of architecture around the city and most likely inside of buildings where allowed. Do the museums allow photography?
Any opinions would be appreciated.

I don't have that box at checkout... I'll try in different browser and without logging into my account.
Strange - I just don't get the option to enter a code anywhere. Tried IE and Chrome both logged in to my account and as guest.

I must be blind - where do you enter B&H Coupon codes? I see the Giftcard button but it wants a pin and I tried enter this code there anyway and it didn't work.

Well, I guess I screwed up on this one. I did in fact order the K-5II 18-55 kit from Adorma at 799 - I guess I was just too excited and didn't pay attention, can't believe I fell for that one. Adorama however will not match any of the lower prices on Monday even though I notified them on Monday, not even their own prices. Said their policy to match prices doesn't include sale prices, well when else are the prices lower:confused:
Last time I order from Adorama. B&H it is from now on. Sorry, just venting.
If anyone wants to sell their 18-135mm WR from the kit for a slight profit, pm me:lol:

Well,
So excited today to get my 18-135 K-5II kit! It got delivered, but they sent the wrong kit - sent the 18-55mm kit instead!!! Very disappointed in Adorama support so far. I also emailed them on Monday about price adjustments for Lightroom 5 (lower price at Adorama, B&H, Newegg and Amazon) and the FA31mm (lower price at B&H) and never received a response.
I guess I should have ordered from B&H. Anyone else ever had issues with Adorama?
I emailed them about shipping the wrong kit, we'll see what happens. So disappointed that I can't use my camera and will now have to wait once again!

Well, it is 300 of the regular price. I got it mainly because of WR as I plan on bringing with on my backpacking trips.

Well, I was originally going to get the K-3 18-135 kit, but this deal is too good to pass up. Pulled the trigger on this plus the FA 31. New to Pentax and DSLR's since the film days so the K-3 may have been a bit much for me anyway, but I really wanted the tethering ability.

Shoot was hoping for some discount on K-3 and if not then the K-5 IIs. Hmm . . . What to do . . . This is about half the price of the K-3 kit and could use the difference towards a FA 31, which I noticed is at 966.95. Is 966.95 a Black Friday price for the FA 31?
Also, Is the extended warranty good on this, on B&H says the extended warranty is discontinued, but on Adorama says they have it and it's good for all current cameras. With this being a Fire Sale is it still considered current??
EDIT: Found the same extended warranty on B&H that Adorama has, so is it good for this camera being a Fire Sale?

Well, I just received my Bower 8mm from B&H and it was simply the OEM box rattling around inside another box:-\ So I'd say Adorama's is better. Lens it's fine though.

Actually, Wilson Camera (2 locations in Phoenix area) is an authorized Pentax dealer - but they don't carry stock that I know of. I went there a couple months ago to check them out. They had a small selection of used lenses and did actually have a K5-IIs in stock, but that was it.

Thanks for the welcomes. I'm sure I'll enjoy the camera when I do finally get.
So far I have purchased a used D FA 100mm f/2.8 lens and a Sirui T-1204x with G-10x ball head and QR plate.
Starting backwards I guess:-P
