It is true that I rarely need it and I can open it in a few seconds without a problem but I might sell this camera soon and I don't know if people would like to buy a camera that has such a problem. I could ship it over to Pentax and pay for all the shipping and the repair but in the end it might cost quite a lot just for a button repair so I don't know, maybe i should sell it as is.

Hello,
I recently discovered that pop up flash button on my k-30 doesn't work. I tried to pull up the flash by hands and it opened up. I saw that the hook that holds the pop-up flash works correctly (it rebounds) but that the button is not connected to the hook, so when i press the button the hook doesn't move. It is probably broken even though I don't know how i broke it but I need to fix it. The warranty on the camera is finished and the nearest pentax service is 300 km away. Does anybody know if there is a possibility to fix it by myself? I could disassemble the camera but there might be something broken which I can't replace.
Thanks
