I got the pleasure of waking up early and enjoying my coffee when I stopped the sun on this beauty. I slowly moved my wife's wetsuit down that was hanging near by to produce a black background and grabbed my k-3 and tamron 90mm f2.8 macro lens. Love the sun reflecting in its wings. this gear is actually for sale at the moment fyi.

After a large earthquake in 2016, almost every one of the 2200 pagodas and temples have been closed to people looking to capture an early morning picture like this. Where there is a will there is a way thankfully and i spent four very early mornings looking for this vantage. This is a UNESCO site and is an absolute pleasure. It is more prone to exploring than Angkor Wat so brings out your inner Indiana Jones. Balloons go up every morning weather permitting.

Taken at 36mm. Not too often you can take bird pictures at that length. What a treat to see the sun shining through this majestic fellow.

not too often you can capture birds at 21mm focal length. what a day. k3 is very capable wildlife camera for distance with the 300mm prime. love that lens. this was taken with sigma 17-55 because of how close i could get.

i took a bit of time to set this up. if you notice the colors near my friend's hand you can understand that the steel wool is on fire and spinning around on a set of christmas tree lights that are plugged into an inverter and a 12volt battery i humped in to this calm site. i wanted to get a bit of color into the shot and am happy with the results. i have some nice classic reflection shots but wanted to post something a bit different. hope you enjoy. trevor
