Interesting.... it appears to have a badge at the lower right side of the lens connector.... I wonder if that will carry over to the new designation?

This was taken at the Japanese Garden in Van Nuys, CA. The egret had just taken off from the edge of the lake, flew across then made a U-turn to fly back... I got the shot as the bird banked into the U-turn.

It had been raining the previous days leading up to this morning, but the sun came out and really gave a spectacular show of color at Fishermans' Shoreline Park in Monterey, CA. ... This is a 5 shot HDR with Topaz Glow applied.

I saw an ad for the Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di zoom lens that supports full frame from B&H and couldn't resist getting it as it was the last NEW one they had in stock. I'm sure glad that I did.... it's a great walk around lens. I'm hoping that Tamron will reintroduce the lens with updated optics and silent drive. The resized photo on here doesn't do it any justice. It is sharp in the sweet spot like most lenses of this type, although a little soft at the far end, but then again, I'm not always shooting at 300mm... Oh yes... this is London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Here's one I took with my new K-1 at the Helms Bakery in Culver City, CA... I shot this using the built in HDR function of the camera. Shot with the Pentax HD FA 28-105mm WR lens.
Exposure: 1/350 sec; f/8; ISO 100; Aperture Priority, 34mm

I saw this rather colorful thistle growing and just had to shoot it... Cropped and post processed with Topaz adjust and glow. I apologize for the missing EXIF but it got stripped off somewhere in post. Taken with a K-3 and a Pentax 18-270mm zoom...

I just received my K-3 II today directly from the Pentax Web Store... Even though I paid MSRP for the camera from the website, I did get two bonuses, one of which was unexpected. First, the known bonus is a Pentax branded sling bag which is actually pretty good quality... The second and unexpected bonus is a Pentax FLU Pro 16gb wireless SD card.... So all in all, paying full price for the camera wasn't such a bad deal after all... :)

This was shot about an hour after a rain storm had passed through Yosemite Falls. The fog and clouds were still hugging the mountain when this was shot.
