Can someone plz sum up his conclusions. He seens to be very well regarded as a reviewer. And i find it fascinating that he s covering the K1 and many Pentax lenses with quite enthusiasm. And his review method seems to be different than usual reviews. Unfortunately I'm not a subscriber, but i would really like to know his thoughts specifically abt Pentax DA 20-40 and FA 31 limited.

I had the same problem with my Kx almost 10 months after i bought it new . The problem started the same as with the op , auto focus coming and going, sometimes repeatedly turning it on and off would work, sometimes switching the af/mf multiple times would work. But eventually it gave away .
It was still under warranty, so the local dealer took it in. The y told me the circuit board needed replacement. I specifically asked if it wasn't just the problem with the switch. They said it wasn't. They repaired it and it worked before going AWOL again three months later. Now i just make use of our as a manual focus DSLR :D

A Mosquito shot with a Ricoh 28-100 mm + vivitar 3x TC-converted extention tube @ 100 mm . Flash was bounced , Nissen pz401 .
its macro i guess :p Zooming in to 50mm gives even more magnification , but then the lens has to be very close to the subject , so much so that it almost touches it .

The results look great . As long as it works, who s to argue . I once used a Soligor 300 5.5 and reversed a 50 1.7 held in place by the Soligor's hood , lol . The magnification i got , i know it was more than 1:1. But how can u know for sure how much mag u got ?

Hi, i am from Pakistan and a proud owner of a Pentax KX since the last year . I ve been a silent viewer of this forum for quite some time and this is my first post here . Not a professional but very enthusiastic about photography. Really satisfied with the Pentax system for the while, as the kit lens , an M 50 1.7 and couple other film era lenses fill all my needs. I wasnt sure i made the right choice of buying the KX initially as i compared my SOOC jpegs with a friends Nikon d5100, but as ive spent more time with my camera , i realized that kX is a nice little beast when used within its limitations, and obviously gear isnt all that matters :D
