In order of use with my K-1:
77mm 1.8 limited
50mm 1.4 * (Replaced my 31mm limited as is my favorite lens)
Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 DG EX OS
31mm 1.8 limited
Then I have several others that are rarely used unless the situation call for it: Sigma100-300m f4 FF, Sigma 8-16mm APS-C, Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 APS-C, and 100mm 2.8 macro.
Waiting for the 85mm f1.4 * to be released that hopefully will be as masterful as the 50mm that Pentax released last year. The great thing about my 77mm is it is small, iight weight, and produces great images. With th full frame, just wish it was a tad longer so the 85mm might be a perfect portrait length for the K-1 full frame camera.

Is the Ricoh GR a better camera than the GRII. The reviews say it is, but the features appear superior on the GRII. Interested in hearing your thoughts.

I have even sent it in with my k5-IIs and it came back with the same issue. I read the 18-35mm review on this sight and saw that this was a typical problem and gave up on it. It has been in my back unless i am doing a landscape shoot where I can use live view effectively. Otherwise it is useless. Super sharp in live view mode, out of focus through the viewfinder of everyday shooting.
I am glad you have a great copy. It has potential but my experience must be isolated. Or maybe not.

Has there been a fix for this lens? With my K-5IIs it only focuses in live view. Looking through the viewfinder, the autofocus isn't accurate. In live view mode, the image is spot on. FYI from about 27mm to 35mm, it works well in full frame mode.

To all who purchased this amazing lens during the sale period, I just wanted you to know you are about to be blown away. I just received mine today and am already blown away by it's sharpness, bokeh, autofocus speed and accuracy, and overall image quality! This lens is a game changer. Sure it is heavy, but if that is the only trade off, I am ecstatic!!! Congrats to all who took advantage of this all time low price.

Last night Adorama had the K1 + Pentax D-BG6 Battery Grip+ Pentax Slingbag 2 + Pentax Padded Strap for $1496.95 Glad I jumped on it when I saw it because this morning the Slingbag is out of the bundle. Great Deal and now I finally will be able to maximize my full frame glass. Can't wait.

Here is my wish list. 1) More focus points, 2) Improved AF, 3) FF Frames Per Second Increase, 4) 4K video and 5) 36MP is enough but a slight increase wouldn't be a bad thing. These improvements would make the K-1 II the best FF camera ever. The K1 was near perfect but these improvements along with all the K1 carryovers would make this camera a game changer.

Yes what you are saying makes complete sense, but I only use my grip when I have on my 70-200mm or 100-300mm. When I use my primes, it is pure overkill to keep on my grip. In a quick change situation, i don't want to chance losing the seal gasket. However your point is correct, but why should I settle for a defective product, if in fact this is a defect.
Sounds like no one else has my issue.

There is no aspect that shows it isn't fitting correctly. It fits, it just isn't snug or fully secure, Flipped over it will fall out due to the motion of the flip. None of my other grips were this loose fitting.

Yes. that is why I got another rubber stopper from Ricoh and neither of them fit firmly in the grip, but both fit securely on my K1.
It is the Grip that is the problem.

The first grip I received from B&H, the K1 connector gasket fit snuggly into the slot within the grip. However there was another issue with either the camera or the grip causing me to have to pull the battery multiple times in order to reset the unusable K1. Well I finally got a body that works but I am on my 4 th grip that has a weird issue. The black sealing gasket on the base of my K-1 doesn't seat firmly in the allotted slot of the grip. Either B&H keeps sending me the Grip i return to them or this is a defect. I even had Ricoh send me another gasket to see if that was the issue and both of them fail to fit securely. I have always had a grip with my camera but I am scared if i use the grip in the field, that i will misplace the sealing gasket. I am talking about the black one not the white clear one that comes with the grip.
Does everyone that own a K1 and a BG6 Grip have the same issue or do I need a 5th grip. If so how can I insure B&H isn't just sending me back the one I sent them?
Help please!

I would if it wasn't part of a free gift offer. I wouldn't feel right ordering one from Amazon or Adoroma and returning this defective one.
Also BigMackCam, no difference. Mine looks exactly like your unit with the exception of my the black gasket in the front slot just doesn't fit firmly or snuggly. It looks exactly like yours but yours isn't loose and easily falls out.

I am a seasoned Pentaxian and have never had an issue before. I have tried every way and it fits in the slot, however it is never snuggly seated. If turned upside down and tapped it falls right out.
No user error here. Again the first grip didn't have this issue but the last 3 did.

I know the reviewer loves Pentax. He is very fair on other reviews. Could have had a bad copy as his results were miserable. I actually love the K1 with my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 OS lens. It is super fast and sharp.
I thought about upgrading to the Pentax lens but don't see the value in it especially if my copy is working for me.
