Shims for Focus Screen in K10D?

I didn't want to start a new thread so I'll post my question here. With a split screen from e-bay, I have to turn my focus ring, on all my lenses, away from infinity in order to get focus confirmation on the K10D. Do I have to increase or decrease the shim thickness to correct this?

Edit: Never mind, I took out the shim already in the camera and I had to turn away from infinity even more so it looks like I have to increase the thickness of the shim.

I can't believe I didn't think of that. I'm using Safari 4 beta. I just tried Rense's link in Firefox and it works. Thanks.

Whenever a user posts a link to their PPG, it takes me to the PPG home page and not their gallery. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

Hi, can someone help my identify this flower? Its actually from a tree in High Park in Toronto. And does it look kinda dark/under exposed? One minute I think it looks good the next I think it looks too dark.

These were taken at Hilton Falls with the kit lens. I went there with some conservation groups to look at vernal pools but ended up taking pictures of wildflowers. I would of prefer the flowers in the first two shots to be more in focus. But I took those by holding the camera close to the ground and hoped the AF focused on the flowers.

Been here a while but first time posting photos. Let me know what you think.

I purchased a Takumar 200mm f4 yesterday and this is what I shot as test subjects.

Inexpensive focusing screen well worth $29

Thanks for the confirmation. I just took another look at it and indeed the tabs are under the screen, I was able to push them under the screen without resistance, however it still looks like the tabs are pressing against the screen. I'm guessing that the split screen is a little thicker than the stock one.

I just installed mine from jinfinance in my K10D. I'm not sure if I installed it correctly. Are the two little black tabs on the focusing screen frame (the thing that pops out) suppose to be under the screen or does it push the screen against the body? Mine pushes the screen against the body. This brings me to my next question. I noticed my center focusing point, the red dot, is not centered. It's a bit higher than it should be. Can this be caused by the little tabs pushing against the body and not sitting under it? And should I be concerned about this?

I just checked, my camera is set to sRGB color space. I guess there's not much I can do except not just Xee, it's such a great program though.

So, I just picked up a K10d and I think I have color problems on my computer. I use a Mac and when I open pictures in Xee and Preview, the colors in Xee look dull while the colors in Preview look darker and more saturated.

Here is a comparison. The same file straight from the camera is opened using Xee (left) and Preview.app (right). What can I do?
