Oh well. then I guess there may be some one here that has one that is just right for you. I know there are many different releases. and there are many sites that have free releases. If you have one you like than add to it and make it right. What is right for some one else may not be right for your use. I'm sorry I tried to answer the question.

Best suggestion on the Model release is to Google Model releases and find the one you want to use.

Great old cameras

I have been in contact with B&H and I want to try their Black and white 620 400 asa but I'm not sure of how it will work in this camera. My f stop range is from .11 to .32 and the camera speeds I have to select from are from 100, 50, 25, B, and T. I saw they had a 100 asa but this would mean it is a faster film. (and they are out of it.) so I'm going to order some 400 and see what that does. The only problem I foresee is in Development. If i send it away I may not get the metal winding spool back. So I need to find some one local that can do the developing for me. I want that spool back. Other wise I would have parts missing from the camera making it void for resale later.

Great old cameras

It's been a while since I posted anything, Mostly because it seemed like a war of Meg a pixels and features that are not keeping with the purpose of a capturing that one shot. I have fled back to the use of film. I picked up my Pentax K1000 and roles of film. I still shoot digital and with great results. I have also been shopping for and finding old film cameras.
I just picked up a great find (a 1931 Kodak Junior six-620) the camera was made for 12 ex poser 620 roll film. This camera was in mint condition, In the box, with all the directions, and setting cards. The billows was still soft and clean inside and out. the lens says No.0 Kodon with F stops of f.11, f.16, f.22, f.32. the shutter speeds range from 100, 50, 25, B, and T. The price I paid for this great camera was well worth the kick I get every time I use it and just to have a picture so clean and clear. I was able to find a shop that would cut me the film I needed to use and at this writing I'm waiting for the same shop to develop it. I'll post some of the shots later once I can scan the photos in and see if I can post what I got.

Taxes, Smaxes just tell the wife she has to quit working and your problem with this will be over. See if you don't have income you don't have taxes. But then you won't have any money either. (catch 22)
Or you could just live like the rest of us unemployed in a card board box wishing we had your problem of earning too much.

Defective Camara or Battery Problem K200D??

The K200 and K100 and K100 super have always had this problem. In these temp. ranges. It is best to keep the battery's warm, and change them as often as needed. I have also tried using the camera with a gloved hand warmer on the hand that supports the battery compartment. In most cases it allowed the battery's to last a little longer, but not much.

Cant open RAW files in CS4

In your CS4 program what is your Camera Raw version? And what camera are you using? There is a new Camera RAW download for the cameras that have come out within the past year. If you don't have the newest camera RAW file I would suggest going to the ADOBE web site and download the newest camera RAW file and follow the instructions to the letter of how to place it into CS4.
Now this said I'll ask this Question. do any of your photos show up in the bridge. If they do and you want to open a photo from bridge you need to go up to file and open the photo in camera RAW. This bridge is totally different from CS2 and 3 where all you had to do is click on the photo in bridge and click open and it opened into Photoshop.

I vote for stupid. Things in this story just don't add up. I personally feel they should have to pay for all the services. I think both parents were irresponsible.

Selling Out and the Stock Photography Dilemma!

It's a great article, Ben with a great reflection of today's issues. I have also witnessed the downward spiral of the stock photo market, but it has not just all of a sudden started. It has been going on for quite a few years now, and the low prices are quite the norm. In the first place with the advent of the internet and more people getting involved with stock photos, the prices could not stay in a range where the photographer can really make a living. It's really the photographers fault. (I know, I know How can you say that?) well it is, because the photographer lets it happen by accepting the price paid. Besides if you as a photographer would say Well my photos are worth more then you want to pay, the stock company would pass you by and find other photographers willing to prostitute them selves and accept what the company says they are worth to them.

If a photographer of your caliber is willing to say OK I'll take your $30.00 for that shot then he is the one responsible for the decline. And as of today many young photographers (Amateur and Pro alike,) have led to the downturn in the pricing.

A few years ago, I sent many photos to stock companies, and I was surprised to find that they sold at all. I was happy to get what they paid. I couldn't make a living at it but, Hay in my case an extra 1-$200.00 bucks a month or every three months was just easy money, and extra spending money I had for other things I wanted, at the time. The prices got less and less, and I found I had to submit more, and more to make the same amount. I also finally found it wasn't worth the hassle.

I find the pleasure in the shoot and results not in the sale. If some one likes what I do and want's to pay me for it so be it (I don't have to sell my work to live, just as i don't live to sell my work.) I enjoy what I do and I'm satisfied with knowing I do a good job. (Its the old saying, some days you're the bird and some days you're the windshield.) I think we all get a kick out of the shoot and being recognized then the sale.

Thank you Ash, I was playing around with K100D and My 50-200mm lens, At the same time I was shooting with a tammy 70-300mm Nikon mounted on my istDL in manual and was trying to see which lens I liked. I like the DA 50-200mm much better. there isn't much room for mistakes in the tammy. Of course there is no room for mistakes in manual mode at all.

Adobe camera RAW upgrade

Latest Camera Raw update is 5.3 according to the Adobe web site.
Any camera RAW updates that they give will work in CS3 and CS4. don't be afraid to install them and think they won't work. They do. I have both CS3 and CS4 on my computer. the CS3 is on a different drive and I have tested the latest camera RAw in both works well. The 5.3 update is adding Nikon and Olie new cameras but includes all the Camera RAW files from the past updates.

Here's the link: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

Adobe camera RAW upgrade

Hi Peter
first go to the Adobe downloads and upgrade page. Find the newest camera RAW update. Download it to your Desktop. This file does not automatically install so your will need to copy it to your Adobe program and it is very easy.
Open the file on your desktop and there will be two files you will only need the camera 8Bi file. Then go to computer double click so it will be the following path.
Computer/program files/common files/ Adobe plug-ins/CS3/file formats. You will see a file named camera RAW 8Bi Highlight the file and drag it to your desk top. Take the new Camera RAW 8Bi file and drag and drop it into the spot you just took the other out of. close out of all programs and restart your computer. When it comes back up go back and make sure the file Camera RAW 8Bi is in the files format section and then close out and start Photoshop CS3 The new file Camera RAW will be updated and you will be on your way.
Any problems just delete the file and try again or put the old one back in until you can get it right. it's easy and the way I have explained it you will not have any problems.

$1.77 for a cup of Coffee @ Starbucks

I have one cup of coffee a day, I make it at home in a one cup coffee maker I have had for over 20 years ( I do clean it every once in a while) The cost per cup is about $.17 per cup. When I was on the road and drinking between 2 and 4 Pots a day, I could sit in any truck stop and drink all I wanted for about $1.09. that Starbucks crap is just that crap. It's so bitter you need to add so much sugar just to get the bitterness out. Starbucks is for those milkshake drinkers that don't know what good coffee is all about.
One small scoop of good Colombian and a 14 ounce mug of water is the ticket, and if you really need a boost, some good Jamaican rolled just right by hand and a couple of tokes with the Colombian really starts the day off right.
As for the cigarettes Well even the RYO has gone from $1.10 per pound to $25.00 per pound. It's better to smoke Jamaican, you get more out of it per toke.

Do you request Pentax lenses for your eyeglasses?

The link to the Pentax Eye glasses shows the frames that are available and they are nice frames. I did notice that the add said they use only the best lenses and coatings Pentax has available. The cost of the frames is reasonable, so yes I think I might try a pair the next time I buy glasses. ;):D

My only question would be do they come with Shake Reduction. :)

Yesterday in Pennsylvania it was free enterence to all state run museums. So I took my son and grand sons to the Strasburg Rail Road museum, which isn't far from the house. It was a great day and the grandsons learned all about trains. If you ever want to take the time to see some really great old trains this is the place.

of course they didn't know they would have to work for the trip.

There is so much more to see at the museum and so many things the kids can do, along with getting into the engine of one of these great machines and learning how to drive one. It was a great way to spend a beautiful almost spring day.

K100D Battery question

The best two types of batteries on the market today for the K100 and K110 are the Enloopes and the Ray-o-vac hybrid longest lasting for the battery hogs we have. I have gotten anywhere between 800 and 1100 shots from both and for the money you can't beat them.

I have used these two types ever since I bought my istDL and these two came to market. I have no worries or problems when I use them.
