took this one to test a manual lens years ago - guess it was a Tamron 90mm, but not sure - and decided that it was not a bad one, so here it is :)

Taken from my kitchen, after a short rain.
Sorry, can't remember the lens I used. Takumar 50mm/1.4, maybe ?

#8, no doubt. Frame and colors are perfect, and at least something is happening in this one. It is not just "nice" or "cute" or seen thousand times.

nice one ! I like the composition and light. Slow motion of the smoke and obviously the speed of the train.

I used to live near Toulouse, it's a very nice city. Now one hour north of Montpellier, in the Cévennes area : no big city but big landscapes ;)

Hello People,
I registred to this forum few days ago, because this thread helped me a lot to fix a K100D Super I bought for very little money because it was said to be broken.
Maybe the picture of this "capacitor fix" will help someone else one of this days ?
Anyway, this picture is the last I took with my good old second hand Nikon Coolpix 4500 :D
As I love vintage technological stuffs, I bought some manual prime lenses to use with the K100D. I received a Pentax-A 50/1.7 this week, and some M42 are on there way. In the following weeks, I hope to have fun with :
- a SMC Takumar 50/1.4
- a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 35/2.8
- a Jupiter 37A
I never took a lot a picture over the time, but I played a lot with a cheap 6x6 camera 20 years ago. I found an old Industar 50-2 some gave me at this time, and I guess it's time for it to be used :)
Here is a picture I took today with the A, hope some will like it.
regards,
Luc

Hello,
I just registered to this forum to thank Mangusta for his tip :)
Last week I bought a K100D said to be faulty, because "battery went low after two shots". I bought some Eneloop, but the problem remained and it was clear that it was the same problem as described here.
So, I grab :
- the K100D service manual which can be found here : http://www.pentax-hack.info/firmware/k10_gx10/older_sm.zip .
- a 470µF / 16V Sanyo Os-Con capacitor I had in my caps box (10mm diameter, I was sure I would no be able to fit it in the camera. But I was wrong !)
- usual tools for this sorts of things : multimeter, screwdriver, soldering iron,...
I found out that the best place to put the capacitor was under the SD card reader. Plenty of space here, and close to positive main lead. A spot to solder ground lead is close enough too ;)
Be very carefull while unmounting and follow the service manual procedure step by step : the only step you can skip is removing the front cover. Other step are mandatory to unmount the rear panel and reach the place we want.
Be aware that this involve some soldering/unsoldering skills and flat ribbon cable plug/unplug (yes, with those sooooo breakable connectors...).
And here it is, I put a circle where I did solder the wires. Hope this helps !
