It was at my local Canadian Costco. Every few months the price drops to about $499 and then hops to $529 or $569. I'm sure it'll drop again near Black Friday around the web.
I feel the same. The K-50 (and the K-30) are both great cameras - especially considering their price and what they come with. Throw in a kit lens, $200 gift card, bag and 32GB Class 10 card, and you can't really go wrong. Now just a week to wait before it arrives.

I had bought the D5100 ($500 for the 18-55mm kit, bag and 8GB SD card).
And I did use the 5% discount (thanks Adam!).
This is only my first DSLR so I'm gonna get warmed up with the kit lens and learn the basics of using the camera, and then proceed from there. :)

Returned my unopened Nikon back to Costco and ordered the K-50 kit.
At first I was considering waiting until Black Friday but this deal was great enough that I had to pull the trigger. Bang bang! :cool:

@Daymare,
I did not buy (got a Nikon instead) but I asked the same question to Adorama by email and their reply was that you do get the gift card after purchase. As in you pay the listed price and you get the camera, SD card, bag, warranty and gift card (which he said would be sent by email).
Their reply: ”Regarding the $200.00 gift card, we email you the gidt card it will not ship with your order."
Also, don't forget to use the 5% off code Adam is kindly sharing in one of the other threads (if any codes are left).

I noticed the price on Amazon, and the K-30 body only can be had for $450 in Canada too.
I'll either grab the K-30 body for $450 or perhaps buy the K-50 body only bundle from Adorama and then sell the $200 gift card for $180, effectively making the K-50 body only + 32gb SD card + bag + 2 years extended warranty cost $517, which is a good price, I think, from my limited/no experience buying cameras.
Btw, if you ever feel like shipping the 18-55mm to Canada for $70 or so, I wouldn't refuse. :p

From trying it on their website, the 5% discount works on the first $500 in your cart. So the maximum discount is effectively $25.
