I figured it out. If you change the focus point in the Spot AF mode, you have to cancel out of it entirely by hitting the reset (display) button twice (once to reset the focus point to center, another to cancel) to allow a different focus mode to be enabled.

Hello, I just purchased a Ricoh GR and installed the latest firmware, version 4.00.
I noticed when I change the focus mode, multi, spot, snap, etc., it occasionally requires me to power down and power back up the unit for the setting to take effect.
Wondering if anyone else has noticed the same?

Most definitely, I wasn't interested in turning it off, but wondering if that was in fact the feature I was seeing. I hadn't realized it was the same thing as slow shutter speed NR.

Hello, I just recently learned about black frame noise reduction, an option on some cameras for long exposures.
I recently did some night photography with my K-3 and took some exposures around 45 seconds to a minute or two. After each shot, the camera flashed "NR" and counted down from, I can't remember specifically but was something around 20 or so seconds.
I haven't read anything about the K-3 having a black frame noise reduction feature, but that NR countdown seems like it could be doing that.
Wondering if anyone knows for sure.

So, I feel like I keep accidentally knocking my K3 against my keys hanging from my belt loop, I picked up these from Monoprice a few weeks ago. They require some very slight trimming to fit on the K3's screen but otherwise work pretty well. With the screen on, I can't tell it's there.
Less than $3 too...

Penmar, just curious if you could post an example or two of your original unsharp images?
