Thank you for all replies. I ordered a sandisk UHS-I-Class-10 from here ( Sandisk Extreme PRO 32GB 32G SD SDHC Memory Card 95MB S UHS I Class 10 HD Video | eBay ), but received a UHS-3 (see picture imgur: the simple image sharer). What is the difference?

MaximalPower, Inca vs Pentax original battery

Thank you for all replies, I did not notice that the one was not D-Li109.

I read in this forum positive about Wasabi. However, Amazon does not like to ship it to Australia.

Charger with a car adapter sounds good too. I found one, which is not from Wasabi D LI109 Charger FOR Pentax K R KR K S1 KS1 K 01 K01 K 30 K30 K 50 K 500 Battery | eBay .

It looks like I have to make a decision between MaximalPower (cell made in Japan) and Pentax.

@Lowell Goudge
> Shoot using manual mode with the aperture & shutter set so that the exposure without flash is about 2 stops below what is required for proper exposure, then let the flash do the rest.
Do you use the build in light meter to find out this.

@LensBeginner
> An alternative to avoid the "flash look" would of course be the standard ceiling bounce with white card for catchlights...
ceiling bounce sound good.

I actually ordered YN560-TX controller and it should arrive in few days. I heard that shutter speed control the ambient light and aperture the flash.
Last Christmas I used 180th of the second with flash and the lights on the Christmas looked like switch off.

Can I capture a moving child with 30th of the second with flash?

How many Leds do I need for a Light Panel

Hello,
I have a two years old child which is moving unpredictable and sometimes I need more than one shoot to capture a picture.
With a flash I might lose a moment, because it has to recharge before I can take another shoot again.Therefore, I thought a led light panel could be useful, because the light source would be constant and I could use even burst mode.

I would like to use the led panel in my house. As shutter speed I would like to use at least 180, aperture 3.5 - 8 and iso as low as possible in order to reduce noise. My current lens is 18-55mm. In the past I have made good experience with Yongnuo flashes and triggers. Therefore I would be interested in a led light panel from Yongnuo ( Yongnuo led | eBay ).

How many leds do I need for a light panel?

Thank you in advance.

Aperture and crop factor

Hello,
I watch this

You Tube

and basically it shows that not only focal lenght has to be multiply by the crop factor, but also the aperture. It is possible to the get real aperture by

focal lenght (on 35mm) / lens diameter = aperture

I calculated it for some pentax lenses and just wonder whether it is correct, because most of the time I did not get the right aperture.

smc PENTAX DA Star 55mm F1.4 SDM
55mm (equiv. 82.5mm)
82.5mm/58mm=1.4224137931034482758620689655172 == 1.4

smc PENTAX DA Star 16-50mm F2.8 ED AL (IF) SDM
16-50mm (equiv. 24-75mm)
75mm/77mm = 0.97402597402597402597402597402597 != 2.8

smc PENTAX DA Star 60-250mm F4 ED (IF) SDM

YONGNUO flash 560III + radio trigger RF-603N

Thank you, but I found there is two types on RF-603, N1 and N3. I would be interested in N3, but I do not know whether it is compatible with Pentax K30. I would like to use N3, because I could use it on Pentax k30 (if it is possible) and Nikon d610.

Does anyone know whether RF-603N3 compatible is with Pentax K30?

Thank you in advance.

Hi,
I would like to use YONGNUO flash 560III together with Youngnuo radio trigger RF-603N (N = Nikon). Would these combination work with Pentax K30 and could I use a shutter speed of 1/180?

Is there a better flash and radio trigger combination?

Does anyone know about when the following radio trigger with LCD will be released and which price?
* CACTUS – Remote Manual Radio Flash & NEW V6 Transceivers Coming | FLASH HAVOC
* http://flashhavoc.com/yn-560-iii-remote-power-control-with-new-transmitter-coming/

and he was using this ND filter Tiffen 77mm Variable Neutral Density Filter 77VND B&H Photo .

Does any Variable Neutral Density Filter exist which is cheaper that the Tiffen one or does another way exist to over power the sun without HSS?

Thank you in advance.

Radio trigger and HSS flash for K-30

I looked at Aokatec radio trigger. These trigger convert the optical signal from e.g. pop up flash to a radio signal and on the remote flash the radio signal to optical signal. It is quite smart, but the problem (if I am not wrong) is that HSS only works if a Pentax camera can detect the HSS flash. My understanding is that the only way to get HSS and Aokatec's radio trigger to work would be to use two HSS flashes which one would attached to the camera hot shoe and the second one would remotely connected by Aokatec radio trigger.

I think I found few alternatives to get shoots with bokeh in bright sun without using HSS flash. The guy in this video

You Tube

was using Tiffen Variable Neutral Density filter Tiffen 77mm Variable Neutral Density Filter 77VND B&H Photo and a softbox (Maybe it could be replaced by a flash). However, in this video

You Tube

was using only three ND filter with cockin filter holder
Cokin Filter Holder - P Series - Digital Camera Warehouse Australia . Why in the first video was a light source used and not in the second?

Would this idea from this video

You Tube

work outside to exposed first the bright sky and than to use flash to brighten the subject?

Option 1:
Sigma EF-610 DG ST with TTL together with Variable ND filter and Aokatec radio trigger.

Option 2:
YONGNUO 560 no TTL and no HSS together with Variable ND filter with some generic radio trigger. Which generic radio trigger would work nice with Pentax and an manual flash and uses AA or AAA batteries?

Do I have only the above two options to get a nice exposed background and subject in the bright sun?
When are Cactus and Yongnuo each supposed to be releasing remote triggers which have built-in power level adjustments from the transmitter and would I have to buy new flash for it?

Thank in advance.

Radio trigger and HSS flash for K-30

Hi,
Recently, I watch a youtube video about "Trigger Alternatives for Off Camera Flash" (

You Tube

) and as comment the maker wrote this:

However, it looks like yongnuo does not make any radio trigger and TTL with HSS flashes for Pentax. The only alternative to Pentax AF360FGZ II I found would be Sigma 610 dg super ( https://www.sigma-photo.co.jp/english/flash_and_accessory/flash/#/flash_610dg_super ).

I would like to be able overpower the sun with a flash in order that subject is not to dark. What kind of option would I have with radio trigger and HSS flashes?

Thank you in advance.
