Ghost Plant (Montropa uniflora) also known as Indian Pipes. Most folks think of it as a fungus, but it's actually a flowering member of the Blue Berry family. Montropa's make for some interesting reading.

After day of downpours and thundershowers a bit of golden light at sunset. And nothing like a narrow field of view to focus on the groups of flowers.

One of the shootings that offered me the most strong emotions in 2016: photography of snakes and gecko.

I had never approached these critters, and to have this Boa Constrictor of 2.50m facing me, through my objective, was a memorable experience that I am ambition to renew.

Black & White 071 class locomotive hauling a trainload of cut logs

recently refurbished 071 class locomotive 087 heading south to belview port with a trainload of cut logs from County Mayo. Visible to the left of the line is a former train station and freight depot that once served the village of ballyhale, it closed in 1963.
