K-30 Creaking Sound

I just tried my K-30 out of curiosity. Yes, there was crack/popping sound when I put pressure on the front grip, sound like there was a gap between the plastic cover and the frame inside. But after hard squeezing several times to hear several creaks then it seemed like the cover got pressed back in place and produced no more sound, it seems solid now.

You can use a Yongnuo RF-603N transceiver on the hot shoe, connects to the K-30 by a C1 cable ( not included with the RF-603N though) and trigger the camera with another RF-603, the Cactus V5 duo also work with K-30 too.

Sigma DC 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 vs Pentax-DA 18-135mm F3.5-5.6

Thank you everyone for your inputs. Looks like if I want to get the Pentax 18-135 then I have to find another way to get the fund but not by selling the Sigma 17-70, so I can have both of them and then compare and make decision later.
Again, thanks all of your time on this topic.

Has anyone compared the above two lenses in terms of image quality? I have had the Sigma for quite some time and find it fast, sharp and Ok as an indoor lens but it's not as long as I would like when going out. Now I am going to move to Maine and I know I will do a lot of fishing and my K-30 will be tagged with me along beaches and rivers. That make me think about WR of the Pentax 18-135, but right now I am in a tight budget and can not afford to buy the Pentax, so put me into the idea of selling the Sigma and may be a flash to fund for the Pentax. But before I do it I need to know the IQ of the Pentax can match the Sigma or not (I understand there are differences in focal length and fastness of the two). So anyone has owned or used both of them, please give me your opinion about their IQ .
Thanks in advance

Looking for a Flash/Shutter wireless release for my K30

I have heard Cactus V5 duo can do thing like that. I do have the V5 duo but the included cable which connects the V5 on the hot shoe to camera was not for Pentax so I can not confirm that feature.

May be this one, but you have to spend more time to play with it since it is not compatible with Pentax' P-TTL

K-30 - Entry level?

K-30 with 100% pentaprism viewfinder, full weather sealing, 2 e-dial wheels along with TAv Mode, I would not think any entry level camera has those features.

The Dolica at Costco is ZX600B103
*** Difference between ZX600B300 and ZX600B103 ***

"The difference is between the 2 tripods is basically the ballhead. The tripod body is exactly the same. The ZX600B103 is a classic style ball head while the ZX600B300 is an upgraded design with a larger knob to lock in position easily and well as hold a heavier camera."

ZX600B300 - Dolica

Might be the one at Costco better value than the one at Amazon.

Actually I use the rear LCD on my K-30 a lot, and I am not missing top LCD which rarely used on my K-20D at all.

When I first saw the announcement, I had an idea that I would buy one for my daughter. But now with knowing that K-500 lacks of focus point indicators then I just put off the idea of buying it. Sorry Pentax, you did not learn from your last mistake from the K-x .
