Finally got a red Pentax K-X with kit 18-55mm lens for under $300. Now the fun begins. I also got me a nifty-fifty lens - a Pentax-M 50mm f/1.7. I think I'll use this lens more often than the kit lens for two reasons. First, for me to get used to manual photography. Second, it's a better lens than the kit lens.

Greetings! I'm a newbie in DSLR and I'm eyeing on Pentax K-X with 50mm as my first DSLR. I have used micro four-thirds before but I'm not satisfied still on the sensor size - couldn't get the bokeh I wanted. Upon reading the reviews, looks like Pentax has been solid and K-X is a good entry DSLR. I hope to learn and share here in this forum.
