I am interested to know if the sigma 150-500 5-6.3 apo dg os hsm will work good with my K-30. and since the k-30 has image stabilization and the lense has optical stabilization, can they work together or is it one or the other.

I have a pentax k-30 with 18-135 wr and 50 300 both pentax lenses. I seem to have some problem with focus being sharp on over half my images. I am an experienced photographer and am somewhat perplexed.

20 years ago I was a new photographer with a Nikon FE. I worked at a camera store and soaked up information until a hobby was born. I used Fujichrome Velvia as my choice of film. Eventally it got expensive to shoot and I found work and life in general very consuming. About 5 years ago I purchased a small point and shoot hoping to re-energize my love of photography. I have upgraded twice with the latest a Fuji HS-50 super bridge camera. It performs very good, having 100's of very good photo's. But the low image quality when at full zoom.(1000mm) has led me to a search of DSLR's. I choose The K-30 for 2 reasons.1: Price of Kit with 35-135 wr lense. 2:Being weather proof is a nice feature that could be benifical with me living in Utah. So here I am looking for advise on how to achieve exellant photo quality with my new equipment.
