Well, for that to happen, Intel would have to start making integrated graphics that didn't suck. Or, if you've decided the Desktop is Dead, it's already that way on tablets and smartphones . . . which sell more than desktops & notebooks do now.

My wife knitted this for the birthday of our FDiL (Future Daughter in Law), who's a fan of the long-running British SF TV series 'Doctor Who'. It's fifteen feet long, and an accurate Series 12 or some such reproduction. Time machine not included, but the hat was.

Good to know; in more and more places it's pretty reliable to get online.

I've seen her picture! She has that "I like you - I'll kill you last" look. I thought that was normal for cats. It was for mine - when she wasn't doing the "You're an idiot - you know that, don't you?" look.

I found one just like ours on a gov't auction site - 14x64, 3 bedrooms. The 3rd BR was a large closet. Power & teen problems aside, the good thing about your paid-for home is you can buy when you want to, not when you have to. If you have to walk away from a deal, you aren't any worse off.

Over the top.
The roll should always be oriented so the paper unrolls over the top and outwards, like the roll on the left.
Any other way is incorrect.

Thank you for all the helpful advice.
Good news - it's not the camera or the sensor!
I bought a new SD card and the problem persisted, so it's not the SD card either.
My card reader in my computer stopped working recently so I bought a USB Card Reader adaptor, and I think that's where the problem is.
When I plugged in a USB cable directly between my camera and my computer, the photos were all 100% fine.
What a relief...

18-55 is better than most give it credit for. The 18-50dc is as well. The 17-x sigma and tamrons are great but typically more than that.
