I can. I did. I homeschool my kids so I have to send a different kind of proof, but we're eligible.

Found it! I hate email product codes. They tend to get overlooked in the mass amounts of digital minutiae we all deal with daily.

Feeling really dumb today. Have to buy Adobe CC (the whole thing, not the photo only) for my son's graphic design class. So, of course, I buy from B&H and go through the PF link. The description says it's a download. Do they email me a link or a product key or what?

One of the issues, particularly for parents, is that the epipen is enjoying preferential treatment in the public school system, backed by fda and federal education dollars. That limits parents to being required to purchase the pen at its exorbitant price or school their child in some other fashion.

Sorry to hear of your dad. My husband is still inside the plastic crematory bag with the metal id tag inside a gallon Ziploc inside a plastic flip top box inside a white cardboard box from the crematorium. He's sitting on the mantle. I need to order an urn.

Obstetrics is a highly litigious specialty. People will sue your pants off if their baby dies or has an injury during birth that leads to disability.

Yes. My eldest son is 17. My daughter will be 16 in two months. My youngest son is 14 1/2. His birthday is in January. In January, I will then have a 17 year old, 16 year old and a 15 year old.
My daughter has possibly found the great love of her life. They've been dating since shortly after my husband's death. They are good together and make a good pairing. I'm trying my best to stay out of it and let them navigate their relationship themselves, but she is still my minor child. I regularly remind them both of that. I honestly, given their personalities, don't see them breaking up. But we'll see.
My sons are not really dating yet. Which is fine because that means I get them all to myself a little longer!

I wish! I had to spend $3k on tree work removing 80' tall dead pines.

Well, I didn't really mean to go completely MIA. We closed on the house, got moved and I've spent gobs of money on assorted things that we needed. Furniture, tree work, paint, locks, etc. We're mostly set up now. Hoping to get back to picture taking soon.

Yup. Looks about like that in the "family room", minus the carcass of an actual truck. And the flames.

Got the clear to close yesterday afternoon before I took my nap to be able to work tonight. We're closing Monday. I'm never doing this again.

Waiting on a "clear to close" is about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Some things will be discovered during appraisal or inspection that the lender will refuse to lend until it's repaired. The house is their collateral after all. Sometimes, the house appraises for less than the sell price. If so, the buyer & seller renegotiate or the buyer pays more cash or the whole deal falls apart. ---------- Post added 04-12-16 at 08:51 AM ---------- My offer was contingent on inspection, appraisal, insurability & financing.

The appraisal came through today. The property appraised well & there were no deficiencies noted that the lender will require to be repaired before closing. We're heading to underwriting.

No. It isn't. And we will need almost an entire house full of new furniture.

Packing blows. I'm just saying. ---------- Post added 04-07-16 at 10:15 PM ---------- My living room looks a mess. We're not anywhere near done & the mortgage people are looking to probably close earlier than our projected May 6.

I got a job! And I kind of count *trying* to raise a few citizens of the next generation as ding something sort of productive in life. At least I'm attempting it anyway.

Yay! We've got power again after a week long ordeal with the electrician & the code inspector. This was not fun! But now, I can get my SIC month started.
