Had the camera in my hand when this guy showed up. Grab shot, a bit underexposed had to bring up. Applied Polaroid 690 film setting to tone down the usually harsh reds. Red Bellied Woodpecker by OnTheWeb, on Flickr

Some people asked 'how loud' is a screwdrive converted Pentax DA* 50-135mm F2.8 lens. So I made a Youtube video comparing the the converted Pentax DA* to a Vivitar 100mm F3.5 macro (The plastic fantastic). It was captured with decent quality microphones so hopefully this gives you some idea what to expect after you convert your lens to screwdrive once your SDM fails, which is inevitable, highly-likely, happens often, probably, maybe, sometimes, if it does. There's a lot of detail there that was 'blown' away by the hot spot of light. It comes down to preference and what you believe your eye saw when you shot the image. 60 seconds in onOne effects with just a bit of darkening of the hot spot with slight warming adjustment to just that area. ---------- Post added 04-27-14 at 08:55 PM ---------- forgot... Beautiful image capture you did on the BIF.

Yes, the DA* 50-135 is a brilliant lens and DxO software really helps bring out the details with it's automatic lens corrections. Red Squirrel by OnTheWeb, on Flickr

I believe the built-in, pitch controlled rotational gyro-sphincter will take care of all that, within limits of the sway bar, of course. :)

Lens can be solar-powered by reverse-mounting old Nikkor or Canon f/1.2 lenses to gather the suns rays with the optional Sigma "feel the burn" solar adapter, not included. ;)

The brush tool works quite well using the perfectbrush and make it easy to isolate the effect of any layer (smart masking)

I, too, like to shoot cows. I need slow moving subjects that have all of eternity to wait around for me to compose. Nice! You were pretty close.

Yes, the 'grille' effect is a bug... I reported it to tech support and they said it is on their list to get fixed and is in the next update. I haven't had any other bugs, yet.
Not sure what the "magic eye circle" is, but I'll take a look.
I really like this program.

Here's a link to add on a bunch more effects and textures (hundreds more if you download them all) you can add on that the company gave me. Just download the files you want and click on the download to install them. Software must be closed first ;) When you are downloading them, note that some are Textures you can use as layer effects, but most are Presets.
