That is weird. I have no problem with it in manual. As Oldbayrunner said shutter speed has to be 1/90 or slower, but even if your shutter is faster when activating flash it switches to 1/90. (just tried it)

Oh, thank you! GC was such an awesome experience. The helicopter flight was quite pricy, but totally worth the money.
Here is a pic of Horseshoe Bend. The weather wasn´t very nice and we went there in the middle of the day, but this place is simply gorgeous under any light.

Same day at the Upper Antelope Canyon. Our Navajo Guide was so nice to take a shot of us. An overcast day is not so good for this place, but it was beautiful anyway. (But extremely crowded)

This was taken on a morning walk trough our local moor. It was a very atmospheric and misty mood.
It was taken with the 18-135mm kit lense, at 68mm, F16, Iso100 and 1/1250 sec.
I wasn´t alone so i had to shoot what i got, but i´m pretty happy with the mood of the pic.

I think it is very important für Ricoh to make the big announcement before the holiday season starts. If it is still obscure a lot of people might get another new toy and abandon Pentax Ricoh.

Hi all,
i was following the cyber monday on the german amazon.de in hope of a good deal on Pentax gear. Finally there is the Pentax SMC-DA 300mm /f4,0 announcend starting at 19:45. As usaul i have no idea how good th deal will be, but for anyone considering the purchase it might be worthwhile to take a look. If you are not used to the amazon cyber monday, they announce the time of a certain deal in advance but without the details. When the deal goes online there is only a certain amount of items to get so you have to be fast.:

I don´t need a lojng prime at the moment, but it could be a really good deal. I hope someone gets a shot at the 300mm prime.

I´m still on my quest to get used to lowlight events. At the Diwali Festival we had a wonderful Kathak dancer. I think i get a bit better at events in little steps. I´m quite happy with these pictures.

A few pictures from the last events at the museum. I´m still unsure how to work in these lowlight situations. But it is a good training. I think i pp to aggressivly, but i´m not sure how to adjust correctly. Using 1:1 doesn´t seem to be the best idea with this kind of shots. I try to get rid of the noise but at some point it seems to be pointless, the pictures just get washed out.
First a few from the Taekwondo presentation at our Korean Festival.
The rest is from our Latin America Festival. (last one at ISO 5000 and was hard to work with for me)

I was at the hamburg harbour with a friend to practice shooting a human being. I´m a slow photographer at the moment, still learning my first dslr, so i´m thankful in having some patient friends. :)
Later i was shooting the family of a friend. And working with kids is a whole other story. It was chaos but fun. :) (i cannot show fotos of the kids, sorry for that)

I went to Hamburg harbour to try a few evening shots yesterday with different lenses. Still learning a lot every day. It got really cold, but i had a lot of fun and there were quite a few photographers around. I even spotted another Pentaxian. :)
