Yeah, what's going on with Pentax's Canadian prices? It's shot up like 100-200%!? The only thing this price hike will bode well for is the resale market, but that pretty much screws Pentax's earnings from new lens sales. I dont' know what their strategy is on that one .
Thanks for all the friendly bumps. This was my favourite lens for a long time before I got my FA 35mm F/2 (thats my fav now). It is simply a joy to use, and the build quality almost puts Canon L glass to shame.
I've got a local buyer pending. Will update tomorrow.

Bought used locally since last october, comes with front and rear caps and lens hood. No box. Perfect glass and excellent cosmetic condition. Selling because I just purchased a 5D mark II and need the money for Canon lenses.

I got wind of this site off of Gizmodo today. An analysis of the sensors from the major camera manufacturers. Quite revealing stuff.
Comparing the K200D, Canon 50D, and Nikon D300:
Compare cameras
They measure RAW output instead of JPG which is really good because it always bugs me when biased review sites like DPreview (Amazon.com owned) compare sensor noise using JPGs (instead of RAW) AND with the camera's default settings (ie. Pentax has noise reduction off at default while all others have some NR by default). That's like having some unequal variables within an experiment and expecting us to take their reviews objectively.
Comparing the K20D, K200D, and K10D:
Pentax
Very similar sensor performance between the 3 cameras.

If you're going to work on it with adobe anyways, why go through the trouble of converting PEF to DNG?? For the sake of SD card space? That's the same argument people have when they shoot JPG instead of Raw. So why not just shoot DNG straight up?

Oh no, I think I fell off the wagon tonight. I sold my Leica point and shoot a few weeks ago and I got this tonight:
I do think this is starting to become mission impossible, I only lasted a month and a half! :o Why does Pentax have to make so many highly attractive lenses? :lol:
