I think Tamron stated, a year ago, that they wont add new lenses to K-mount anymore. At least for some time ?
And how come they still add stuff to Sony. A mount is dead and there is very small user base for E-mount

To start with i am aware there is fair bit of discussion about these two lenses and i do own both (DA-L for Pentax). I generally stay in the range of 100-200mm
Just wanted to get the opinions of people about this comparison.
From my tests i found Tammy being little bit sharper up to f8-f9 also much faster auto focus. But Pentax is quite light + price (DA-L ones are less than 200 British Pounds in Ebay)
When you consider prices of both lenses Pentax seems to be a great deal. Now your turn to share ideas!

I live in Stoke on Trent mate but don't mind traveling for work. It is a small town/city that only fun is going Morrisons.
In my story, my girl friend trained me to become her second shooter years ago :)

It has not featuring a wooden grip like Hasselblad so i dont know ^^. To be fair, as much as i want to buy a 645N, i switched to APS-C because of size. Smaller bodies + smaller lenses and the results are pretty much same. Do i miss my Canon 24-105 f4 ? YAAAY..do i miss my 6D ? may it burn in hell

To add more to this point: My top 5 photos along with my few top sellers had been captured with a Kodak Z990. It took 3 mins to save 1 RAW file but damn cheap 28-840 lens <3
Edit: That woodenblad vs d800 video gave me cancer

I have a Tamron 70-200 f2.8 but left it at Cyprus and took Pentax 55-300 instead.. My UK trip wasn't intended to be permanent
But jokes aside i don't feel ready to start my own business purely because for getting little bit of experience and initial investment
and thanks for the all comments and advices guys, you make me realize stuff that i overlooked

Believe me i really though about that, even opening a small studio. But unfortunately i never shot a church wedding or christian wedding in my life ( shot two weddings in UK and they were Islamic based). So my portfolio isn't very relevant and i do feel i need to know special "events" in weddings here before moving on as my own.
but one day.. one day

I hope Pentax releases an APS-H with 1.2-1.3x crop factor, but not likely. I did converted from FF and their advantages are not so great compared to compact system of Pentax.
Oh.. and portfolio usually doenst matters since last 10 weddings jobs in my area was described as "Second shooter needed, Canon users with fast zooms welcomed" even Nikon users suffers in UK .. lol

Hey guys, i am recently became a pentax user 3-4 months ago. Before that i was a second wedding shooter for 2-3 years. But as soon as i switched to Pentax i found myself unable to find a job, in UK.
Well the first reason they don't want me anymore is i don't have a f2.8 tele zoom which is my fault. But why some "pros" very obsessed with Full Frame cameras and overlook brands like Pentax and Tamron ? i literally got answers like not being sure of my Tamron and Pentax lenses quality because they are not canikon or sigma & ofc using Pentax.
Ps: I do know and understand people wanting to work with others using same brand but why so much discrimination against Pentax ? :(

I am a proud owner of a K5 II and never met another pentax user in life
