This was the most striking of a series of photos that I took at a protest in Cologne, Germany. I was captured by the young boy standing alone in the very front of the protest - the most vulnerable place to be. I prefer, for photos of dramatic moments and events, to do no post-processing, to preserve as much of the emotion as possible.
Taken handheld with my trusty K5-II and the DA* 55 prime lens

Hi everyone,
I'm pretty new to taking any kind of quality photography, but I enjoy traveling off the beaten path and sticking my nose in situations where it doesn't exactly belong, so I figured a camera was a perfect companion for that. I'm hoping I can hang around here and learn some stuff. I love the compact, rugged Pentax cameras.
I *had* some great shots of a major protest and the riot police down in Paraguay, but apparently stepping on an external hard drive isn't good for it, so here's the most interesting shot I have that survived. |
