Shutter Release Problem

Greetings - I have a K2000 model - have had it for 3 years and it has worked masterfully. I took some photo's on Wednesday and the camera performed perfectly. I am preparing for the holidays and was attempting to take some pics today and neither lens, 18-55 or 50-200 will activate for focus, etc. Additionally, when I depress the shutter release button to focus or take a picture, nothing happens - no auto focus and no shutter activity. I removed the lens and the shutter works fine. When powered on the camera makes a clicking noise every 10 seconds as though it is resetting - when this happens the display goes black. I have changed to new LI batteries, reset to factory and tried both lens'.

Any ideas?

Tim
