There is a critique forum if you want real critique ;)
I like the concept of the photo. The ancient stone steps, with nature reclaiming them. The contrast between the green leaves and the red bricks. The contrast between nature and architecture. The DoF seems good, and I like the tones a lot. What I miss in this photo is symmetry or a subject. Maybe a "rule of thirds" crop would help out. I think it needs just a little something to really fulfill its potential, its not a bad photo at all.

I believe the built-in, pitch controlled rotational gyro-sphincter will take care of all that, within limits of the sway bar, of course. :)

Due to gravitational forces and curvature of the earth, it suffers from CA when not perpendicular to Earth's magnetic field.

There's a photo doing the rounds of a guy shooting this thing hand held. It's hilarious.

[edit] I just read some of the "reviews". LOL.

Lens can be solar-powered by reverse-mounting old Nikkor or Canon f/1.2 lenses to gather the suns rays with the optional Sigma "feel the burn" solar adapter, not included. ;)

How you gonna use the F 1.7 TC with a 5.6 lens? ... outrageous....

What does 1700mm equal in FF equivalence? It would be great for small birds, if you could actually find them.

K3 in Hawaii

I had the K3 on a trip to Hawaii (island of Kaui) and it was a fun camera to work with. The FLU card was also quite useful in allowing uploading to my iPhone so I could e-mail pics to family and friends back home; a nice feature. The FLU card also was fun to experiment with remote shooting. For lenses I has the DA* 16-50, DAL 55-300. DA 21 ltd, DFA 100 macro, the Tokina 400 f5.6 and the Rokinon 24mm tilt shift. My bag was heavier than it needed to be but was fun. An example pic below of Hanelei Bay Kaui using the Rokinon 24mm tilt/shift.

13 Hours - The Whole Night In One Picture

I searched for years to find a location to realize my "long-time-stacked-time-lag-photo". I found it in Rotterdam's Inntel-Hotel Panorama room in the Neatherlands. The picture shows a December night from 10pm to 9am in the morning (13 hours). It is combined out of 10 single shots at different times during the night and Shows the passing night from right to left and bottom to top with dark night, moon, a star (Venus) blue hour and the rising sun in one Picture. Hope you like it too :-)

Pentax K-3 w/ FREE grip + 50mm lens is back!

I received my order from B&H yesterday. Even though many reviews said the improvement of K-3 over K-5II/IIs is not that much,
I can still feel the difference the moment I had it in my hands. One thing I particularly like: K-3's AF points are smaller, and its AF
system is more responsive than my K-5IIs. I feel that K-3's AF motor is more powerful too....

Anyway, you will love the K-3 :)
