Can't really complain about my M645 lenses.
I especially like the 80/1.9 and 45/2.8

I went from K20D to 5DmkI and am not looking back. Life's too short to wait all the time. The 645D release is a very strong statement that there will not be a K-mount FF body. not in 5 years and certainly not this year or next year.
I'm still shooting Pentax analog, though. (MX, LX, 67)

I'm pretty sure the shutter travels from left to right (viewed through the bayonet) so the offending band would be located at the end of the shutter path.

Just to bump this thread, I have a similar effect with my 67, which is a bright band on the right side of the image.
You can see it on the first and last picture in this posting https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/899780-post41.html
I guess that a bright band could be a delayed 2nd curtain, while a dark band could be a delayed 1st curtain, right?

My first attempts at landscape photography with the 67.
55mm f4
45mm f4
105mm f2.4
45mm f4
165mm f2.8
Anyone familiar with the effect on the right side of the last picture? (It's also visible on the first picture). Does the shutter of my 67 need service?

The problem with Pentax LX MLU is that it can't be coupled with the self-timer. It is a somewhat sub-optimal design IMHO :hmm: You have to use a cable release to have full benefit from MLU. When I shoot from a tripod with the LX, I use the self timer instead, because a cable release is too much hassle for me. YMMV...

Fuji slide film turns green when cross-processed. Perhaps it was a Sensia 100 and they put it in their C-41 machine

I have a M645 1000s; chose it because of the 80/1.9. I bought it with WLF and prism finder, but then sold the prism finder again as I only use the WLF.
The M645 has become my favorite camera system. As the lenses are dirt cheap, I have bought a few (45/2.8, 55/2.8, 80/1.9, 150/3.5) but the 80/1.9 is sill my favorite, by far.
I think the M645 system is somewhat underrated, the finder / focusing screen and the lenses are really great IMHO. Still lusting for a Pentax 67, though :o

usually I like high contrast pics, but these pics seem to lack shadow detail.
Perhaps they'd look better on black background.

I always leave the film out during rewind, because I process on my own. It's easy if you pay attention while rewinding, at some point the film leader will pop out of the takeup spool and then there is no more resistance from the takeup spool.
Then I fold back the film leader which clearly marks the film roll as exposed.

Yeah, but much more expensive, bigger, heavier and K mount incompatible.
