Lowering my price on the Adaptall mount Tamron 90/2.5 (model 52BB) to $135 with adapter, $115 without adaptall adapter (if you already have one). ---------- Post added 08-01-16 at 07:48 AM ---------- Received positive feedback on the other two lenses - Thanks PentaxZilla!!!
The Tamron 90mm is equally spectacular. I am surprised it's still here. One would be lucky to buy a cheap Cosina Macro 100/3.5 for this price.

PM replied.
I can also sell this lens for $120 without the PK adaptall adapter, which is in fact an Adaptall 2 though it is not marked as such.
The commonly made Chinese adapter for $9-10 turns this and any adaptall lens into (effectively) a pre-set macro lens with stop down metering. Those macro shots will be better exposed and for close-in work with out of focus backgrounds, preview of "bokeh" characteristics is more consistent and more easily attained when using a pre-set macro lens. Some of the images here show the result obtained in this manner.

Adding a couple more images from the Tamron 90/2.5 lens, taken yesterday. The subtle colors and tonality of this lens are demonstrated. In my experience, neither the Tokina 90/2.5 ATX or the Kiron 105 macros have this subtlety. I have owned all three, and found that the Kiron colors were flat and the Tokina's rendering of OOF highlights inferior. I also prefer the bokeh and rendering of out of focus highlights of this tamron (9 aperture blades) to the earlier and later versions of the Tamron.

Both the Tamron 35-80 and smc-A 50/1.7 lenses are sold.
The last lens to go is the 90/2.5 Tamron macro (model 52BB). It comes with both front and rear caps, the original shade, and the PK Adaptall 2 mount which is the best (most secure) of the adaptall mounts. The adapter works particularly well with this specific lens, which is why I would not sell it separately. To demonstrate its bokeh characterstics, here are three more photos taken with this lens and adapter on a Pentax K7.
PayPal is accepted but shipping outside the U.S. and Canada is not. Check my feedback here as a seller. It's 100%. ---------- Post added 07-24-16 at 08:22 AM ---------- I was asked if the Tamron 90/2.5 lens goes to 1:1 macro. It is 1:2 not 1:1. The later Tamron 90/2.8 macro is 1:1.
I will let the images speak for themselves.

Thanks JCDog,
I hope I answered your questions.
Note to Pepperberry - actually the SP 35-80 does not come with an Adapter. The shots using it were done by using the one attached to the other 90/2.5 lens.
I am hoping someone would make me an offer for both lenses as both have been checked out with the single supplied adapter. As seen in the images shown above.

I am selling three lenses that produce some of the best bokeh and out of focus areas of any lenses I know.
The Tamron 90/2.5 macro (model 52BB) optimized for macro, but with more pleasant out of focus areas than the later versions of this lens -- $145 Lens is still available - see new photos at end; the adaptall mount is included. Dropping price to $135 with adapter.
The Tamon 35-80mm 2.8-3.8 SP macro - this lens is like a stack of prime lenses - again with great bokeh at almost any setting. -- Lens is sold
And the smc-A 50./1.7 - which can produce excellent bokeh (better than the smc-m 50/1.7 IMO) up to around f5.6. At F8 this lens is toasty sharp. Lens is sold
All three lenses are like new optically, and perfect mechanically.
No scratches, no fungus, no issues. The lenses may have minor cosmetic marks on surfaces but these are so minimal the lenses could almost pass as new.
The Tamron 90mm includes the original hood for this lens which is quite rare and commonly sells for $30-40.
Photos below are with the actual lenses shown.

Steve. By LaCA I assume you mean lateral chromatic aberration. I see that too, in the doorknob photo there is purple green shift (purple to the right, green to the left). https://photographylife.com/what-is-chromatic-aberration
I also see LoCA in the skateboard photo to the left of the board, and in the doorknob photo. So both are evident in that photo. Mostly I get LoCA with my copy, but occasionally I get both too. Not a huge issue but does occur wide open to around f3.5.
In any case I see it in both the doorknob photo and also in the skateboard photo. Not really that bad compared to some other lenses but still there nonetheless. I have the same thing with my copy which is a Sears branded version of the same exact lens.
I use the lens stopped down alot (@f4.0-5.6) and it goes away.
For wide open shots with this lens I prefer B&W conversions.

Jean, those are very nice images with the Rikenon, especially the first two. There's a bit of purple fringing and slightly nervous bokeh in the third image. My copy of this lens also suffers from those two problems wide open until around f3.5.

I have only used the following: super takumar 105/2.8, smc takumar 105/2.8, and an all black version of the preset 105/2.8. I have never tried the chrome/black version of the preset takumar 105/2.8. It you get a clean copy, it could be just as nice as the all black version but I can't tell you for sure. There is also the semi-auto version of the 105/2.8. If you search on line you can probably find sample images from all the different versions; I did, and that's why I selected a clean copy of the all black lens. Kuan's images in particular sold me on it.

Bump. That link to the silver Asahiflex version of the lens means that obviously there are at least 5 of these lens caps floating around (or more likely attached to collector's lenses).

Yes the all silver Asahiflex version came with the silver cap, and is also quite rare. Most of those sold are missing the cap. In fact that is the first one I have seen for sale that has the matching cap. There are one or two people on this site who have this all silver version of the lens and may be interested in this cap. It's a rather small market...

Got the lens cap with another lens that did not come originally with the (rare) silver cap. Seller did not know the origin and value of the cap.
I am an Asahi Optical Co. (preset) lens enthusiast and am always on the lookout for these lenses and their accessories.

Silver front lens cap for 83/1.9 Auto Takumar - c/b rare!!! Asking Price
$80 USD (final reduction) Item Location
Oregon (United States) Item Description
Collectors please note: Of the seven reported existing copies of the M42 (silver and black) preset 83mm f1.9 Takumar only two or three copies appear to have the original front lens cap which is silver, and stamped/embossed "AOCO"
It is possible though that this cap also fit other (also rare) silver and black auto takumar lenses (not sure)
This one is in good to excellent condition, is not warped or bent, but does have some minor rubbing on front and a few surface scratches.
The felt on the rear is in great condition considering its age.
The cap fits snugly on any 49mm front filter equipped lens.
I am asking for $80* but in truth I don't know what this lens cap is worth. The last 83/1.9 lens sold on eBay without a front cap, but with the original lens case (also quite rate) so if that person is looking to complete their set, this might be the one chance they get in a lifetime.
*reduced AGAIN
I would trade for the original lens case (brown, hand stitched, similarly embossed) for the 83/1.9 if in good condition (no mold), and might even toss in some cash. Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

Please send me a private message if interested in the item! ---------- Post added 11-22-15 at 11:05 AM ---------- I have checked my notes again, and it appears that until recently (this listing) there were 3 known original front caps for the 83/1.9 takumar. This is the fourth. One could guess that there may be more out there. But your chance of ever finding one is close to nil. I can tell you that if you do ever find the 83mm 1.9 takumar for sale, the chances are it will be missing this front cap, and you will wish you had it. ---------- Post added 11-22-15 at 02:21 PM ---------- Because of rarity, I will ship this internationally. |

WPresto and a couple others have suggested elsewhere that the Rikenon 50/1.4 is not that sharp. Well, either they had a bad copy, or they are talking about another lens - the non "P" version isn't all that sharp it is true (but that lens has a different optical design).
Here is a shot taken at f4.0 which I believe is the sweet spot for the lens in terms of central sharpness. It gets better corner to corner at f5.6 and up. The shot was sharpened a bit in post. But I dare anyone to say this lens is not sharp. In fact if I took a similar shot with my best 50mm lens (the K50/4 macro) at it's best aperture (f8) you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. The lens outperforms the smc-A 50/1.4 from f2-f4. Both are rather unsharp at f1.4. Nature of the beast.
The advantage of the Rikenon P 50/1.4 is it's performance at ~f2-4.0 beats most older 50mm manual focus lenses. An exception in my arsenal is the Zeiss 50/1.4 AE (one specific copy of that lens that took me a long, long time to find).
The disadvantage of this lens is that it can be difficult to nail focus - common with many 50/1.4 and 50/1.2 lenses on digital. To get the most from this lens you need to use live view when using it at f1.4 to f2.0.
The lens is now $100 plus shipping. Not $95. Not $50. Based on the photo below, I will keep this lens rather than sell it for less.... cheers.

Yes, the 50/1.4 Rikenon mechanics are super smooth. Focus, aperture functions are all like new.
May have to list this one separately as all the other lenses sold.
