Sorry to hear about your K-01. I would be pretty devastated if my panda was stolen. I guess that's the rub with carrying such a brightly colored camera: it may not look super pricy/worth stealing at first glance, but it does tend to draw attention. I hope it turns up

Bought this baby two years ago and I'm still quite fond of it. When visiting a new location, this tends to be my go-to lens and some of my favorite moments have been captured with it. Here's a couple shots from Tamil Nadu, India:

northcoastgreg, those are some KILLER shots. I have a DFA 100mm macro on the way that I can't wait to test out.

After some careful thought and having the fortune of coming across an enticing deal, I am now the proud owner of a Pentax K-01 :)
I decided to keep the 40mm XS lens since it's so light and portable. I'm also loving the image quality so far!
I was debating for a while whether I should just get an entry-level DSLR like the K-30, but I think I'll be happier learning the ropes on this and my Pentax ME Super. I might eventually upgrade as my interest peaks and my skills improve, but for now, I really love this camera! Thanks to everyone for the helpful advice and encouragement.
