@DanGleabols: You are right, it should be NFSW. Most of my images are safe for work, so it was placed under 'People' by old habit. Fixed now! =)
I'm happy to hear that you like it! This project started out as an idea between me and the makeup artist Josephine Caspari. We did the "Water / Mermaid"-theme first, just to add to our portfolios, and that got some attention on local fb-groups etc. Josefine (model here) was interested in doing something similar, but as we've never worked before she had to pay something for these images. For the Earth and Fire elements we have a friend of mine and the sister of the makeup artist planned, then it will be as TFP. Long answer, but yes this was mostly as you say "for the love of doing it", but it also might bring in some paying customers :)

Glad you like the k-3, I don't have the k-30 so I can't tell the difference... but in the k-3, just two finger controls (thumb on rear dial and index finger in ISO button) allow you to change ISO while looking through the viewfinder is far better than going through the menu. Enjoy your new toy...:)

Soooooooooooooooooo, here's my latest photo, featuring my wife and I ;) Attachment 257081
We spent over an hour actually setting everything up and then my wife spent a while making it into an actual movie poster lol. I'll post a full BTS in the next few days, I just wanted to share it as soon as possible (what? I'm excited :D ).

Sigma's P-TTL works well enough for me but there's a marked difference between direct flash and bounce. I only ever use bounce flash so -1.5EV compensation is permanently dialed in on the flash and exposures are spot on every time. HSS allows fast shutter speeds on my K-30 but I've yet to get anything auto happening with exposures, I play around with the aperture until it's right LOL. Possibly a later EF-610 than mine (Dec 2012 direct from Sigma Service) may have better firmware to fix this, dunno. If I were buying again I would go for a Metz USB updatable model but I got the Sigma a lot cheaper than a Metz as a trade in for an older Sigma so I'm happy enough with the EF-610 DG Super.

I just checked my K-30 and a Metz 52 AF-1 flash. Don't have to change anything on the camera, but the Metz' AF assist light has to be turned on in options, and then the flash set to Spotbeam mode if you don't want the flash itself to fire. Putting the flash on the K-30 and turning it on is enough to deactivate the green AF assist light on the camera. The flash's AF light is red, so I can tell which one is being activated. The only issue for me was not realizing that if the AF assist light is turned off on the flash, but the flash is mounted and turned on, I don't get any AF assist light, and if there is too little light for the camera to focus, it won't release the shutter and fire the flash.

I know that Pentax DSLRs can use Pentax flashes for AF assist, but I don't know about third-party flashes.

I have no issues with the K7/K5 focus assist in external flash. It works. Try switching off the on board focus assist lamp.
I use the DA*16-50/2.8 and the focus assist is still able to help in focusing.
