Had my 50-135 over 3 years. It has been obstreperous perhaps 3 times (but, interestingly, not in the last year) Works like a charm.
Have had the 16-50 over 2 years. It died once, and was fixed under warranty.
I am very happy with them both. Real workhorses.

Hello to all of you,
I had better overcome my shy nature and say something so I won't be stricken from the list.
I have been a Pentaxian since the 70's. A cousin gave me a rangefinder, and then I moved on to an MX which I loved, using it until 2005, (7000 slides later, many scanned into digital format) when I went digital: Ist-DS. I am a professional musician, a violist since 1971, and now University Prof in Ottawa, Canada. (Hence the name: Bratsche is German for viola, and the -ist* my first digital camera. Bratsch-ist* I thought it was a nice touch!) Violists are also shy by nature.
I now have a K20, the 50-135 DA and the 16-45. I am wondering whether to go to the 16-50DA, or rather get a few primes (31; 40 or 43) and keep the 16-45. I was using the manual focus 35-105, which i really liked on the DS, but seemed a bit soft to me on the K20.
I really enjoy reading the many posts, and have learned a lot from all you folks. Thanks for sharing all your knowledge and experience. Its very neat to be in touch (even as an observer) with folks from all over the world. I really appreciate the time and care you all take for each other in sharing something that is really special to all of us.
Sometime when I work up the courage, I will post some of my photos.
Thanks again, and now that I (hope) won't be deemed a Spammer and kicked off, I look forward to continue hearing from all of you.
Take good care
Rennie
