I always say whenever beig asked why I use pentax not canon or nikon, that pentax is something more than camera it's religion and big history going along with this brand. I have been using pentax cameras since the begining of my photographic journey. And don't really think into going for something different. At the moment I am using my third Pentax camera, first it was point and shot, simple Pentax optio, then I switched into first dslr camera k100d super and NOW I am proudly owner of K-3 :)
Here is the shot of what this great camera is capable of (image taken in Mazury, beautiful land of thousands lakes in Poland ):

Actually that is the plan to do. Mobile workstation which I can carry around whenever I need it and to connect it to the extra 4K monitor for some extra editing.

I would go for k3 and saved money would put into some extra equipment , lenses or filters. Improvements in k3 II aren't worth putting more money for it. It's the same image sensor and same autofocus .

I took this image in the little fishermans port named Jaroslawiec in northern Poland right before the incoming storm. At the lens I attached the Hoya ProND filter 1000.

I took this image during my trip to Masurian lake country in east of Poland. This is the place of thousands lakes. That was one of the best sunsets I have ever seen, love the reflection on water and how the clouds gave an extra effect for this image.

I think the overall effect is way better when you combined the imagines outside the body using different software like photomatix or photoshop. Have been experimenting with it and HDR straight from camera does not look as good as the ones done outside he body.

Some action shot I took recently with my K-3. Really like the focusing and speed of the camera. I switched off from old Pentax k100d super and k-3 is really amazing improvement in all aspects. Definitely recommended for action photography
