I use my photos in an encouraging volunteer work that I do several days a week. I mail quite a few letters of which I print my nature photos or something of a ‘happy, positive’ nature on the back of the envelope. I have a Canon Mega Tank printer for that. I have three WD drives for photo storage. The pc itself has two terabytes of storage, (my non tech friends say “…whaaaa?”) it’s the stinking small amount of ram that’s irritating.

Raw files from the K3’s, but hope to get a K1 soon". I have chemo/Covid brain now, so my concentration level is like a hdhd teen. I don’t have the mental energy to ‘build’ a pc outside of telling the pc company what I want and have them do it or hopefully have more ram installed on the one I already have.

I’ve been sidelined for a couple years due to health issues, surgery, chemo, radiation, Covid, and deaths in the family.
I’m finally able to pick up the camera again but my previous PC is maxed out. Not sure if I could improve the ram on it or should I replace it with a new PC and use the older one for office work. Can use any advice please.

Y’all are making me laugh. Later that day, we both climbed a slanted tree next to a lake. As we were looking around we just happened to see a group of guys in rented canoes and one of the canoes turned over and dumped the people and their stuff into lake. It was hilarious.

I will try to post a pic for the challenge tomorrow. I have been doing a series of radiation treatments which is every morning 5 days a week. At least I have a four day break now. That’s why I have been missing on the forum. It took a while to find out what my health problems was stemming from. Will look forward to getting back on the forum.

Meanwhile in Fayette County Texas, La Grange, the city is NOT cancelling a huge huge huge Antiques fair, Round Top antiques fair. It has world wide participation both sellers and buyers. Their reasoning is since there are no known cases of the virus and we are appearing for now to be healthy that it’s safe for 1000’s of people from out of state to international to convene in a small little town. The hospital here has been in the paper all last year and now for continued mismanagement and the ability to misplace hospital equipment. If anyone ends up sick it’s going to be a nightmare. The backroad to the hospital is a dirt road, so small town. The toilet paper is non existent in the stores now. Lol, hope those attending the festival have BYOTP.
Edit: The judge just declared Local Disaster and cancelled the huge Antiques event. This is a relief as I live directly between the Event and the hospital. Having compromised health is no fun. It’s would be a doubleheader for me As I have Olfactory Lobe Abnormality and Chemical Sensitivities. The disinfectants and the perfume and EO and air fresheners would make me die faster than the virus.

Photography has always been an interest of mine. I became more serious about it because I also love art. I found I preferred using my own photos as an art reference rather than ones scoured from magazines that the copyright is someone else’s. Now I can get precise shots of what I need and not “Oh well that’s kinda sorta close to what I needed.
A good example of that scenario is when my sister who loves oil painting seen a typical Wolf painting. This wolf was depicted laying down and peering over a mountain edge. Sis and my mom both tried to paint that scene and both paintings were desperately off. When they complained of failure I looked at the paintings and the pic of the original and yes the Wolf in the original was wrong too.
I pointed out that the wolf in the painting looked like a skinny dog and had no wolf features. They then looked for wolf pics in that pose and found none.
A couple of years later I took pics of a wolf mix in the same pose with the K3. The neighbor’s wolf mix was laying in my yard chewing a bone.
I plan to add him to a piece of art soon. Now I can mix the two things I love, photography and art.
