Thank you. I'm down here writing, mostly: working on a novel, a children's book, and political pieces for the Huffington Post. But I do a fair bit of travel work for magazines; for those I generally both write and photograph the stories.

Thanks! I've never made it to Yucatan, even though I've been in Mexico for seven years. It's high on my list of places to visit.

Has anyone experimented with one of those Axmaxx lens covers, as a way to keep out dust? I assume the dust gets sucked in as the lens opens and closes, in much the same way that a zoom takes in dust. So covering the opening SHOULD help. On the other hand, you might take a hit in image quality.

Hi all,
I'm a Canadian living in the south of Mexico. About to purchase a Ricoh GR (which will be, I think, my first Pentax camera. Although I once had an ancient Spotmeter.)
