yes you are correct i did not realise the whole thing screwed off till you mentioned it .i just tried to unscrew the inner it will not move by hand .i will put it back together and try it .it does not look like it has been glued if it does nor move do you think i should try a pair of pliers or some thing similar or have you got a suggestion so i do not stuff the lens

ok i have a mount which i was going to put on off amarexar 400mm lens found out i cant do that it has a 55mm openingso that one is out .problem no 2 took the other mount off was not glued only screwed up pulled the collar out of the new t mount went to fit it does not go on.the mount that is there the screw mount opening is 49mm new t mount with collar out is 48mm so i am still stuck

so am i .i just rechecked and it is a 42 mm the bloke i bought the t mount is to he asked for all the info on it and i sent him the same pics as i put up here. you mentioned the miranda lens i wonder if the m1 or i on the lens may have some thing to do with miranda .i know its becoming a pain.as hoanpham mentioned its a swapable but i do not know where to start looking for another one

i have another lens i was looking at doig that but i thought i would wait for the t mount first then try that or continue hunting

it has got made in japan not south korea basically the same lens glass is probably a bit better or worse

tamron-popular serial no 75261 1;8 f =500mm thats all it has on i bought the t2 on the chance it would fit the lens but it probably will not turn up till next week the other thing it has written on it is a m1 or i at the screw end for the camera thats all i can find on it.i bought the lens hopeing i could find the right adaptor for it the person who owned it reckon they got rid of it and could not remember what adaptor went with it

i have a t mount comeing for it should be here in a couple of days took a chance with that so hopefully that will work.the other thing i was going to try i have an olr lens and i was thinking of trying to swap mounts but its a bit sloppy and the screws look stuffed thanks for your help

i have just bought a tamron 500mm was supposed to be m42 thread it is not .it is close but my m42 adaptor will not screw on.if i measure it it does look like 42mm across is there possibly another adaptor i can use .i did see an m42 plus 75 but i am not sure what this means any help much appreciated or else i have thrown my money away
