Just wanted to say hi and say how excited i am to be joining the Pentax family, and also say thank you for all the great things i've learned on this site to make what i believe to be the right decision. After years of playing around with camera phones, canon powershot, and recently an old 6mp Kinolta Minolta 5d i decided i really enjoyed photography! i wish i would have discovered the joy i get from great shots much sooner in life, i love the artistic side of photography. Art is all around us and with photography there is away to capture this art. Anyways within the last month i thought i had the camera i wanted picked out, an entry level d3200, didnt quite have the funds together yet so i had to wait.(thankfully) not having any back ground in photography Nikon and Canon are the names you hear everywhere and i did just enough research to like Nikon over canon. but the longer i waited the more i read and the more i feel in love with the Pentax brand, and today i made the plunge and bought the k50 with the 18-55mm wr and 50-200mm wr lenses. can not wait to get it in and really start learning the ins and outs of dslr photography, the control you have in creating is unlimited! any suggestions on my first prime lens? i love architecture and people shooting, was thinking 35mm f/2.4 or 50mm f1.8. look forward to years of learning here on this site and from the great people who have already i believe helped me in making a great choice.
